Teoria Transcendentaliów w świetle Ontologii Własności

Abstract

W pierwszej części przedstawiam teorię własności jako podstawę ontologii. Własności definiują aksjomaty treści idealnej, niepustości i abstrakcyjności. Własności negatywne są tak samo podstawowe jak pozytywne. Własności indywidualne są maksymalnie konkretne, mają co najwyżej jeden egzemplarz, a każda własność obiektu implikuje jego własność indywidualną, co czyni wszystkie jego własności koniecznymi. Relacje zależą od własności relatorów, co pozwala uniknąć paradoksu Russella. Tożsamość wynika z własności indywidualnych i odrzucenia relacji niezależnych. Druga część dotyczy zasady pierwszej, którą identyfikuję jako Jedność. Jest maksymalnie prosta, unikalna, bez struktury, różna od Bytu i koniecznie emanatywna – jej istnienie wymaga istnienia innych zasad. Trzecia część dotyczy transcendentaliów: zasad bez możliwych kontrprzykładów. Nie są własnościami i są mnogie z powodu nieredukowalnych kategorii. Wyróżniam sześć: Relacyjność, Silną Relacyjność, Podobieństwo, Indywidualność, Egzemplifikację i Silną Egzemplifikację. Projekt pozostaje otwarty; inne ontologie mogą ujawnić kolejne transcendentalia. Najważniejsze osiągnięcie to rozróżnienie zjawisk ukrytych pod predykatami jednoargumentowymi i wyraźne oddzielenie własności, relacji i transcendentaliów.

The first part develops a theory of properties as the basis of ontology. Properties are defined by axioms of ideal content, non-emptiness, and abstractness. Negative properties are as fundamental as positive ones. Individual properties are maximally concrete, uniquely instantiable, and every property an object has implies its individual property, making all its properties necessary. Relations depend on the properties of their relata, avoiding Russell’s paradox. Identity follows from individual properties and from rejecting independent relations. The second part concerns the first principle, identified as Unity. It is maximally simple, unique, without structure, distinct from Being, and necessarily emanative–its existence requires further principles. The third part examines transcendentals: principles without possible counterexamples. They are not properties and are plural due to irreducible ontological categories. Six are identified: Relationality, Strong Relationality, Similarity, Individuality, Exemplification, and Strong Exemplification. The project remains open; other ontologies may reveal further transcendentals. Its main achievement is distinguishing phenomena hidden under one-place predicates and clearly separating properties, relations, and transcendentals.
