Kreacje tożsamości w polskich przekładach najnowszych anglosaskich retellingów young oraz new adult

Rozprawa doktorska pt. Kreacje tożsamości w polskich przekładach najnowszych anglosaskich retellingów young i new adult poświęcona jest analizie wybranych retellingów baśni oraz dzieł należących do kanonu literatury zachodnioeuropejskiej, przełożonych na język polski. Praca koncentruje się na sposobach konstruowania i przekształcania tożsamości bohaterek i bohaterów w kontekście współczesnych przemian kulturowych i społecznych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem perspektyw postfeministycznych, czwartej fali feminizmu, współczesnych kreacji męskości, elementów queerowych oraz reprezentacji etnicznych. Pierwszy rozdział przedstawia podstawy teoretyczne dotyczące kanonu literackiego, postfeminizmu, czwartej fali feminizmu, teorii męskości Raewyn Connell, tradycyjnej baśni, retellingu oraz literatury young adult i new adult. Rozdziały analityczne obejmują retellingi baśni i klasyki zachodnioeuropejskiej. Analizie poddano strategie reinterpretacyjne, takie jak m.in. emancypacyjne przekształcenia bohaterek, zmiany zakończeń, redefinicje antagonistów oraz dekonstrukcję ról płciowych.

Doctoral dissertation titled Identity Constructions in Polish Translations of Recent Anglophone Young and New Adult Retellings focuses on the analysis of selected fairy-tale retellings and works belonging to the canon of Western European literature, translated into Polish. The study examines ways of constructing and transforming the identities of female and male characters in the context of contemporary cultural and social changes, with particular attention to postfeminist perspectives, fourth-wave feminism, contemporary constructions of masculinity, queer elements, and ethnic representation. The first chapter presents the theoretical framework, including concepts of the literary canon, postfeminism, fourth-wave feminism, Raewyn Connell’s theory of masculinities, traditional fairy tales, retellings, and young adult and new adult literature. The analytical chapters focus on fairy-tale retellings and works from the Western European canon. The analysis covers interpretative strategies such as emancipatory transformations of female protagonists, altered endings, redefinitions of antagonists, and the deconstruction of gender roles.
