Czasopismo naukowe JOURNAL of EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY and COMPUTER SCIENCE jest kontynuacją ukazującego się od 2010 roku kwartalnika Edukacja – Technika – Informatyka. Redaktorzy stawiają sobie za cel prowadzenie szerokiej dyskusji nad podstawowymi problemami edukacji formalnej i nieformalnej w polskich i zagranicznych systemach edukacyjnych. Szczególnie pragniemy zwrócić uwagę na pedagogiczne konsekwencje wynikające z pojawiających się ciągle nowych kierunków rozwoju społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Didactic Significance of Modern Simulation Programs in Vocational Education – Divagations from Own Research

Simulation programs in polytechnic (vocational) education have an important didactic function. On the one hand, they are a great example of modern didactic software, on the other hand, knowledge of the simulation software environment by a future graduate of a technical university increases the qualifications of the future employee and allows him to acquire an attractive profession. In the era of high requirements set by employers and competition on the education market, their knowledge seems highly justified. However, whether simulation programs, especially deterministic ones, can also act as teaching aids is not so obvious. In this article, in addition to purely theoretical considerations, will be presented stages of own research on didactic efficiency, or more precisely the impact of this group of software on the cognitive process during learning. More importantly, the didactic effectiveness was tested based on typical pedagogical research as well as by means of electroencephalographic tests using the QEEG method.
Pedagogical Counseling as a Professional Activity of Specialists in the Field of Education

It is justified that the cross-border educational coordination activities have drawn public attention to the global challenges of the 21st century and have declared the necessity for sustainable development education to be at the forefront in the progress concept and strategies towards sustainability. Exploitation of Mineral Resources for Sustainable Development on the Example of Poland

Nuisance for the people living in areas covered by the direct or indirect impact of the mining industry is an important social problem. The development of the mining industry depends on high environmental requirements, in particular, it is closely related to the fulfillment of obligations of safety for human health and life. Through consultation with the local society and targeted actions degraded land can become attractive. In contrast, the lack of reclamation leads to the intensification of negative phenomena: erosion, surface mass movements, changes in the ecosystem, eutrophication of water tanks. Maintaining balance in the natural environment is the basic criterion for the proper functioning of industrial facilities. Mining activity is a threat to the environment, including human health and life. Use of the environment by mining is subject to adjustment to the legislation and carrying out mining activities in line with environmental requirements. Mining activities and nature protection can operate in a sustainable manner. Appropriate selection of methods for mineral exploitation allows you to minimize the impact on the environment components. The positive impact of opencast mining is reflected in the creation of new habitats of plants and animals in post-mining areas, in the creation of new recreation places, in diversifying the landscape thanks to the construction of water reservoirs. Lakes formed after use of natural aggregates overgrown vegetation reed, acting as a convenient place to settle the water birds.
Requirement of New, Effective Educational Programs – Necessity for Future Development of Society

The article analyses demands of new concepts of student education on the level of secondary schools with technical focus. It urges the necessity to create new educational programs that prepare new future technical operators towards requirements of the labour market in future years in harmony with specifications of Industry 4.0. Many of job specializations is possible, at present time, to estimate only as a frame, but considering a length of study it is necessary to realize predictions at sphere of education needs consistently, expertly and continuously to introduce their results into innovations of existing educational programs or to introduce completely new, perspective educational programs by needs rising at production sector.
Comment: ICT in Preschool

ICT Tools are not primary, but secondary learning source for teaching abstract mathematical concepts at preschool institution. As a matter of fact, for children ICT Tools don’t have the power of immediate and practical experience or experimental work, which are the primary source of learning such contents. ICT Tools can only be used to revise knowledge after children have acquired it through direct manipulative activities and experiments, which require sensory experiences (eyes, hands). In that way children estimate volume of different liquids and their dishes firstly subjectively and then objectively.
Artificial (un)Intelligence – an Opportunity or a Threat?

The article contains considerations relating to the dynamic development of artificial intelligence, which is the fastest growing technology in the world. The article attempts to define concepts that state what intelligence and artifical intelligence is (1). It also draws attention to the development of artificial intelligence (2). All of them are closing arguments seeking answers to the question: Artificial intelligence – an opportunity or a threat? (3). It should be borne in mind that the continuous improvement of the possibilities of artificial intelligence means that it will be able to surpass human intellectually.

Optimization of Vehicles’ Trajectories by Means of Interpolation and Approximation Methods in Education in Technical Fields of Study

The need to optimize the trajectory of vehicles is still highly topical, regardless weather the means of transport are robots, forklifts or road vehicles. It is not only important the safety by passing obstacles, but also the energy balance, i.e. the energy expended on the movement of the vehicle and on the change of its direction. This paper presents a mathematical approach to solving this problem through interpolation and approximation curves. This is a very important scope of knowledge for the education of future engineers.
How Does One Learn? Is There a Method?

Distance Sustainable Education. Incentives and Expectations

The present study investigates the motivation for adult participation in distance education on sustainability and specializes in a population group with specific characteristics, that of the Agronomists (Higher Education Graduates). In a global community with shifting conditions, environmental problems and geometrically increasing demands regarding the qualifications of workers and especially the scientists dealing with these problems, this issue is considered of major importance while exploring the incentives that lead to participation – after acquiring the first degree – continuing education and learning, and in particular distance education on sustainable development, is essential. The result so that Agronomists feel a strong need to extend their knowledge mainly through distance education.
Fatigue and Health Behaviour of Ill Youth from Rural and Urban Areas

The issue of chronic diseases in the population of children and youth should be constantly monitored due to the dynamically changing conditions of life. The risk of health deterioration and the process of convalescence are related to negative health behaviours, the feeling of fatigue and lowering quality of life. These phenomena are determined by the type of disease, individual decisions and many other factors of social nature: support, place of residence or income. The aim of this paper is to analyse the feeling of fatigue and health behaviours declared by youth in the period of late adolescence.
Covid Tracking Apps, Over Reliance on Technology, Bias and Unfairness

Various contact tracing apps tracking the spread of the pandemic were issued in different countries. Mainly based on two technologies, centralised with more control by the governments or decentralised controlled by the Apple or Google Android mobile phone systems. In this paper, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the different systems, as well as their potential dangers.
Analysis of Study Results of Development of Foreign Language Communicative Commptence of Lecturers of Higher Military Educational Institutions

The article deals with the essence of theoretic and experimental check of author’s andragogical model of development of foreign language communicative competence of lecturers of higher military educational institutions into educational process. The definition of “foreign language communicative competence” and its structure is proposed by author. The article reveals the main stages of experiment of foreign language communicative competence development. The results of pedagogical experiment on development foreign language communicative competence were presented and substantiated with help of Fisher F-test. The efficiency of the andragogical model was statistically proved.
Didactics: Logical Operation – Seration in Preschool

The paper presents an example of processing a logical operation – SERATION in preschool. The didactic-methodical approach to processing is traditional which is recommended as a rule and the first step in adopting this topic. Examples of e-tasks using ICT can serve only in the second phase – the phase of determining this content.
Eye-tracking Analysis of the Ergonomics of an Internet-based Educational Portal in the Acceptance Testing Process

In the article I will present the concept of using eye-tracking to examine the ergonomics of operating an Internet educational portal in the acceptance testing process. In the test performed, the results were obtained in nine sections characteristic of the defined AOI1 vs. REC. Selected data has been presented as an example of the results obtained from a complete study showing how users browse the content of the primary conclusion is the way of arranging information on the home page. Permanent arrangement of information takes the form of a non-editable menu. This is the most popular solution found, because it allows for permanent unity of content and easy search. 1. Coherence is located in the context of logical substantive integration. 2. Communication is measured by measuring average time viewed, fixations and number of revisits to defined areas.

We developed, justified and verified methodological foundations for the professional training of specialists in public management of quality and security of socio-cultural forms of education, science and innovation systems of diploma-training of future representatives of the academic sphere, successors of scientific heritage of the trans-boundary level to consolidate the efforts of quality and safety cohesion of acquired and prolonged trajectories of employment and professional development , pleasure insurance according to the needs and requirements of interested and academically worthy and capable categories of applicants for educational and scientific services and consulting and advisory services to build intellectual and emotional capacity of perspective development of transcultural interaction of communicative perception of understanding and consent of diverse categories of society without breaking the biosocial stability equilibrium. We achieved the goals of axiological analysis of conceptual and categorical apparatus with regard to the problem of professional training of future public management specialists on the basis of scientific schools of managerialism in philosophical, psychological and pedagogical and managerial literature; we established the semantics of organization of professional training of future public management specialists for teaching activity ; we justified the structure of professional competence of future public management specialists. We applied a set of methods – axiological analysis, systemic and institutional for semantics of the training management system in higher education institutions and the development of methods for organizing professional training of future public management specialists for teaching activity; method of analogy and probabilistic modeling.
Space for Media and Digital Literacy in the Context of Primary Education

The contribution focuses on current questions and issues in the area of mass media influence on the behaviour of pupils of a younger school age in Slovakia. It offers partial results of research that appeal not only to the importance of implementing media education into primary education, but also show the real status of teachers’ readiness in the area of digital and media literacy. Research was quantitative-qualitative and in addition to the questionnaire method was realised interviews with headteachers of schools and focus interviews with the pupils. The aim of our research probing was to find out the contemporary state of the implementation of the media education into the education process as well as preparation of the teachers in the educational practices in regard to the specific sphere. Research is currently continuing to diagnose the digital literacy of teachers and future teachers in Slovakia.
Personal Determinants of Mental Reliability of College Students in Learning Activities

The paper deals with methodological, theoretical and practical foundations of the problem of mental reliability of a person performing an activity. The problem of personal determinants of reliability is considered. It is concluded that in Russian psychology “reliability” is an interdisciplinary and general scientific concept. The author points out that the study and analysis of this characteristic of the personality of college students makes it possible to arrange and manage professional development.
