Niniejsza rozprawa ma za zadanie udowodnić, że Bartusówna zasługuje na baczniejszą uwagę i trwałą pamięć potomnych. Rozdział pierwszy dysertacji prezentuje dość obszerną biografię poetki, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wydarzeń z jej życia uczuciowego. Drugi rozdział jest próbą zapisu recepcji twórczości Marii Bartusówny. Dokonywała się ona po części w trakcie ukazywania drukiem rozdziale przedstawiono głęboki i szczery patriotyzm, którego echa pobrzmiewają w wielu przywołanych tekstach Marii Bartusówny. Bogate życie duchowe i głęboka szczera wiara oparta na indywidualnej poetyckiej modlitwie jest tematem rozważań rozdziału czwartego niniejszej rozprawy. Piąty rozdział traktuje o umiłowaniu ojczystej przyrody, której niezwykłość i niepowtarzalność podkreśla artystka w wielu zaprezentowanych utworach. Swoim własnym rozmyślaniom o filozofii życia poświęciła Bartusówna sporo wierszy lirycznych, których interpretacja jest przedmiotem prezentacji rozdziału szóstego. Ostatni, siódmy rozdział dotyczy jedynego zachowanego fragmentu (akt V) dramatu pod tytułem Wanda, w którym ujawnia się nieznana wcześniej, a bardzo wysoko oceniona przez współczesnych dziedzina dramatycznego talentu dotychczasowej poetki i pisarki.

This PhD thesis’ aim is to prove that this poet deserves more attention and lasting memory of next generations. It first chapter presents the large biography of the poet (for as far as possible, of the author), especially her private life’s events. The second chapter is an attempt of recording the assessment of Bartusowna’s works. It was made partly by printing her consecutive works, and most of it was visible only after her death. Then, in many newspapers, there was a discussion about her talent wasted because of really bad fortune. In third chapter, there is great and true patriotism presented, reflected in many Bartusowna’s texts mentioned. The spiritual values of her life and her great, true faith based on individual poetic prayer is the main issue of the fourth chapter. The fifth one relates to her delight in the beauty of unusual and unique nature presented in her works. Bartusowna was concerned in her own contemplation about the philosophy of life and that was the main topic of quite a few rows of lyrical interpretation which is presented in the next chapter. On the other hand, the last, seventh chapter concerns the only preserved part of the drama “Wanda” (part V) which presents one of unidentified area of her dramatic talent, very highly rated by modern critics.
