Tytuł. Wpływ edukacji kobiet ciężarnych w Szkołach
Rodzenia w województwie podkarpackim na częstość
występowania depresji poporodowej.
Wprowadzenie. Uczestnictwo w Szkole Rodzenia
umożliwia przyszłym rodzicom świadomie przeżyć ciążę,
przygotować się do porodu, połogu i opieki nad
noworodkiem.
Cel pracy. Celem niniejszej pracy jest ocena wpływu
uczestnictwa w zajęciach Szkoły Rodzenia na częstość
występowania objawów depresji poporodowej.
Materiał i metody. Zgromadzony materiał obejmuje
kohortę położnic z województwa podkarpackiego
ogółem stanowiących 200 osób tj. 100 położnic
będących grupą uczestniczek zajęć Szkoły Rodzenia
(grupa badana) i 100 osób będących grupą kontrolną,
kobiet, które
nie uczestniczyły w zajęciach Szkoły Rodzenia.
Metodykę badań stanowił autorski kwestionariusz
ankiety, Edynburska Skala Depresji Poporodowej, Skala
Depresji Becka, Skala Kontroli Emocji i Skala Satysfakcji
z Życia. Uzyskane wyniki poddano analizie statystycznej,
przyjmując za istotne p<0,05.
Wyniki.
związku i w większości przypadków oceniała swoje
warunki życiowe jako dobre, a w czasie ciąży
przebywała na urlopie macierzyńskim. Średni wynik
uzyskany
w skali Becka dla ogółu badanych kobiet wyniósł 8,83
pkt ± 8,47. Porównując grupę badaną
i kontrolną wyższe wyniki charakteryzowały kobiety, nie
uczestniczące w zajęciach Szkoły Rodzenia. Natomiast u
co czwartej (25,0%) badanej kobiety w grupie
uczestniczek Szkoły Rodzenia i grupie kontrolnej wynik
w skali Becka był większy niż 11 punktów, co wskazuje
na ryzyko wystąpienia zaburzeń depresyjnych. Wynik
Edynburskiej Skali Depresji Poporodowej dla ogółu
badanych kobiet wyniósł średnio 26,90 pkt ± 2,96, i był
on nieznacznie wyższy wśród kobiet nie uczestniczących
w edukacji przedporodowej.
Wnioski. Oceniana kwestionariuszem Skali Depresji
Becka i Edynburskiej Skali Depresji Poporodowej
depresja poporodowa w grupie kobiet uczestniczek
zajęć Szkoły Rodzenia i grupie kontrolnej wykazała
podobne ryzyko wystąpienia depresji, co wskazuje że z
depresją poporodową mogą mierzyć się kobiety
niezależnie od wieku, posiadanego statusu społeczno ekonomicznego
i udziału w zajęciach w Szkole Rodzenia.
Słowa kluczowe. Szkoła rodzenia, edukacja
przedporodowa, depresja poporodowa, połóg.
Topic. Influence of education of pregnant women in a antenatal classes in the Podkarpackie Province on the incidence of postpartum depression. Introduction. Participation in a Childbirth School enables future parents to experience pregnan-cy consciously, prepare for childbirth, puerperium and newborn care, and information provided in this way should be based on current standards and knowledge supported by scientific evi-dence. Objective. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of participation in Childbirth School classes on the incidence of postpartum depressive symptoms. Material and methods. The material collected includes a cohort of perturians from the Pod-karpackie region comprising a total of 200 subjects i.e. 100 perturians who were the group of participants in the Childbirth School classes (study group) and 100 subjects who were the control group, women who did not participate in the Childbirth School classes. The research methodolo gy consisted of the author's questionnaire, Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale, Beck Depression Scale, Emotional Control Scale and Satisfaction with Life Scale. The obtained results were statistically processed, assuming the significance level of p<0.05. Results. The participants of the Childbirth School were a group of women living in a rural area, aged 26 - 35 years, who had a university education, were in a relationship, indicated good living conditions, and were on maternity leave at the time of the study. In the control group, most of the women in the study came from rural areas, were between 26 and 35 years old, had education other than higher education, were in a relationship and in most cases rated their living conditions as good, and were on maternity leave at the time of the study. The mean Beck's scale score for all the women in the study was 8.83 ± 8.47. Comparing the study group and the control group, higher scores were characteristic of women who did not participate in the Childbirth School. However, in every fourth woman (25.0%) in the birthing school and control group, the Beck scale score was greater than 11 points, which indicates an increased risk of depressive disorders. The score of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale for all the women studied was on average 26.90 points ± 2.96, and it was slightly higher among women not participating in the Childbirth School. Conclusions: The assessed by the Beck Depression Scale and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depres-sion Scale, postpartum depression in the group of women participating in the Childbirth School classes and the control group showed a similar risk of depression, it indicates that postpartum depression can be faced by women regardless of age, socio - economic status and participate in classes at the Birthing School. Key words. Birthing school, antenatal education, postpartum depression, puerperium.
