Pozycja Prawda człowieka we współczesnej myśli literaturoznawczej(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Strzelecki, RyszardThe article focuses on the truth of a man attested and expressed by a work. It appeals to the theory which announces this objectivist reference of the work to human reality. At the same time, it makes reservations about these theories, which depend on the sense of the work solely on the intentions and interpretative perspective of the researcher. The truth of man in objective theories acquires the fullest interpretation in personalism of contemporary or classical provenance. The first of these – relational and liberalistic – brings the essence of a person to its communion with others, with „you” and with the community. The second – sees this essence in a permanent and irremovable substitutional foundation. It turns out that only the second personalism, based on the metaphysical truth, can stop today’s „inflation” of man. This inflation manifests itself in its supra-personal (in non-human) approach or in the sub-human (sub-human) approach. The first finds support in the negative (apophatic) and non-personal vision of God, which justifies the metaphysical indefiniteness of man. The second one brings the essence of man to his biological background in philosophy and performative theory, and thus questions his personal condition. The opposition between metaphysical personalism and postmodernism defined here confronts man’s truth and its adulteration. The dilemma of humanities depicted here is a manifestation of a wider and fundamental anthropological conflict that permeates contemporary thought and cultural practice. The stake of this conflict is the survival of man – the preservation of his spiritual status and personal dignity.Pozycja Mistyczne żywioły i kosmogoniczny pejzaż w „Silviludiach” Mario Bettiniego w adaptacji poetyckiej Macieja Kazimierza Sarbiewskiego(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Ożóg-Winiarska, ZofiaThis article attempts to reinterpret the symbolist character of the adapted poetic cycle of M.K. Sarbiewski – “Sylviludia dithyrambica” (written 1637, published 1757) – and its relationship to the original work of Mario Bettini – “Ludovicus, tragicum sylviludium” (1612, published 1622). The new interpretation has given up the absolute method based on philological study and versification hitherto applied to explain the relationships between these two literary works, and consequently has rejected the conclusion which says that the work written by the Polish author is entirely repetitive, can be even considered a sort of plagiarism. This article has adopted anthropological and intertextual perspective to discuss the parallels between the two texts, their contexts, and aesthetic and ideological functions. It provides a wider range of possible interpretations of the genesis and semiotics of the Polish work. The author reveals cultural links between the Italian work adapted to Polish conditions and the European tradition woven around the Christian-national ethos of Europe and the idea of the king who takes up the ethos and constitutes its law and values on the territories under his control. In this historical and mythical space, the figure of ruler – in the Polish version King Vladislav IV – enters into relations of the cosmic harmony of beings and elements spinning around him. This approach brings poetic conceptualization and spiritualization of the visions of the nature of monistic qualities, and sacralization of the nature in the motherland and its territorial concretization. In this light, the Polish adaptation provides the affirmation and aestheticization of North-Eastern outskirts of Poland which adopted by Polish romantic poets (Adam Mickiewicz) became one of the models of poetry of the North – Lithuanian lakes, rivers and forests.Pozycja Konserwatyzm szlachecki w dobie oświecenia z perspektywy współczesnych postaci polskiego tradycjonalizmu(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Magryś, RomanThe contemporary research on the Stanislaus epoch expresses the opinion that the crucial civilization proces of the times was the development of the Enlightenment social formation as well as superseding Sarmatism from national life. Still there are more and more views that the Enlightenment was not a dominant cultural factor in Poland, in the late 18th century. The article “Konserwatyzm szlachecki w dobie oświecenia z perspektywy współczesnych postaci polskiego tradycjonalizmu” (“The Conservatism of Nobles in the Enlightenment Period as Viewed by Present-day Figures of Polish Traditionalism”) does not egree with the opinion expressed by Janusz Maciejewski that some Englghtenment values and Sarmatism accept not go hand in hand in people`s mind from the Stanislaus epoch. According to its author, some Sarmatians accept the Enlightenment ideas, witch does not eliminate traditionalism from their minds, but makes it more modern in some way. There is some analogy between the Enlightenment and the present Times. The presenty-day Polish political scene shows that it is possible to joins conservatism with modernism, apology of the past and facing new challenges.Pozycja O różnych obliczach sławy Henryka Sienkiewicza na lekcjach języka polskiego (wybrane propozycje)(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Rusin, JoannaThe article is divided into two parts. In the first part, based on the memories of several people and on the writer’s letters, the most well-known and surprising manifestations of Sienkiewicz’s popularity were recalled. In the second part, critical statements were quoted, from Brzozowski, to Gombrowicz and Miłosz. The above suggestions can be used in the work of a Polish teacher during classes and extramural classes.Pozycja W poszukiwaniu straconego Eleuzis. Szekspirowskie i indyjskie inspiracje w „Wampirze” Władysława Stanisława Reymonta(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Kucab, MateuszThe article is devoted to the less-known novel entitled “Vampire” by Władysław Stanisław Reymont, polish Nobel Prize Winner. It brings the subject of theatrical motifs and mechanism which have been used in the novel like dramatic dialogues and monologues, theatrum mundi theme. In the view of foregoing it has been proposed patters of subordination and guilt presented in the novel should be called the vampiric situations which is an appropriate term referring to relations between characters. The Vampire, alluding to William Shakespeare’s oeuvre (The Tempest in particular) and the culture of India, is another reflection of Reymont on the subject of great life’s celebration, searching for a place of one’s own in the world, articulating dreams and necessities.Pozycja Portret Wiktora Zbyszewskiego w kompozycji Jana Czubskiego – przypomnienie sylwetki rzeszowskiego patrioty(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Pięta-Kowalik, SybillaThis paper describes Rzeszów between XIX and XX century. It presents Jan Czubski, a composer working in this city before the war, as well as his work regarding Wiktor Zbyszewski – a local patriot who had a great involvement in Rzeszów’s stride forward. The article concentrates on words in the work as well as axiology concerning residents’ attitudes toward local cultural activities.Pozycja Między Herostratesem a Czarną wiosną. O tradycji literackiej u progu dwudziestolecia międzywojennego (na lekcjach języka polskiego w szkole średniej)(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Mazur, ElżbietaThe article focuses on the role of literary tradition, particularly linked to Romanticism, in the poetry of the Skamandrites. The author discusses examples of lyric poetry created after 1918 and manifesting varied approaches to tradition, i.e. rejection, continuation or negation of the key tradition, as well as the attitude of poetry towards history. She also points to the problem of tradition in secondary-level Polish language education and to the teaching concepts designed to develop students’ ability to understand and identify traditions.Pozycja Narodziny motywu faustycznego(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Kocot-Wierska, AgnieszkaAmong literary motives forming the mythology of western culture the story of Faust is one of the most cited and most interpreted stories. Since 1587, when the history of the medieval alchemist named Faust was taken into print for the first time, many new versions of this legend have been released, often substantially diverging from the original. This article is an attempt to reconstruct the birth of Faustian motive, but also cultural and historical conditioning existing within its transformations. Using the works of authorities in the field of faustology, the author looks at key issues referring to the figure of the famous magus, such as: authenticity of Faust; his birth, place of residence, education and alchemic practice, relationships with other people and finally date, place and circumstances of his death. After this insightful introduction into the history of Faust, the author presents a concise summary and analysis of The History of Doctor Faustus (1587), which is a literary prototype of the legend about Faust. She finishes her article formulating her own hypothesis about the causes of never-ending attractiveness and significance of Faustian motive.Pozycja Źródła „duchowości” New Age(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Kogut, JoannaNew Age is a multidimensional and complex phenomenon, almost amorphous, escaping the traditional conceptual formulas. And although numerous publications and studies on New Age are still being developed, it is not easy to describe this movement. Let us, therefore, reach to the sources from which its inspirations have been drawn and through their analysis, let us try to approach the spiritual plane on which New Age views have been built. Let us look a little closer to its original matrix, namely the esoteric and theosophic traditions disseminated in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in European intellectual circles, secret knowledge, known as gnosis, and also turn to ancient pagan beliefs and magical rituals, towards shamanism. Perhaps in their message we will succeed to understand the broadly understood New Age “spirituality”.Pozycja Wojna we wspomnieniach Jana Darowskiego(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Jakubowska-Ożóg, AlicjaThe article discusses the reciprocal interpretation of biography and literature. The subject of analysis is the biography of Jan Darowski, a writer associated for many years with the literary group „Kontynenty”. The past evoked in Darowski’s memoirs has a hierarchic structure – apart from the longer time sections constituting the framework for stories, shorter sections appear (e.g. events measured in days, weeks, months), which are complemented by episodes essential for the author. Darowski’s biography shows the tragedy of people who, similarly to the writer, got entangled in history and becomes a proper context for interpreting senses included in his works.Pozycja Od opowieści do modlitwy. Wokół wiersza „Rorate coeli” Andrzeja Buszy(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Ożóg, ZenonThe author analyses and interprets the poem “Rorate coeli” by Andrzej Busza within two main contexts: firstly, the origin and poetic realisation of the Advent motif „rorate coeli desuper”, secondly, the structure of psalm as a literary genre, which has fixed indicators of a prayer, including a poetic prayer (invocation, petition, the subject of request). A significant role in the poem is played not only by performatives (request), but also sentences describing the spiritual status of the lyrical subject, which can be interpreted as the act of complaint directed to God.Pozycja Edukacja aksjologiczna na lekcjach polskiego w szkole podstawowej(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Jedliński, RyszardThe article presents selected issues regarding axiological education at Polish lessons in IV–VIII grades of primary school. Such education is related to both the way students communicate with the world of values, and evaluation processes which are ingrained in works of literature and various cultural texts, as well as the matters regarding proper understanding of linguistic phenomena governed by expression of axiological content. Lessons at school should include axiological communication based mainly on a dialogue between the teacher and students, which facilitates mutual stimulation of both in the atmosphere of freedom, respect, tolerance and kindness. The article highlights the issue of patriotism, which is important in terms of culture and society, and at the same time essential in terms of educational aims. Patriotism and its different faces were described as part of modern multiculturalism, which demands tolerant behaviour towards “aliens”. Nowadays, we can notice the need to combine patriotic tradition with the new model of patriotism that opens itself to European and global values.Pozycja Kształtowanie tożsamości regionalnej mieszkańców Podkarpacia – zarys problematyki(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Hejda, DanutaThe article contains terminological findings regarding regional identity. The author explains what the formation of regional identity consists in. It discusses selected elements of the cultural identification of the Podkarpacie region, which cognition may form the basis of regional education.Pozycja Rozważania o patriotyzmie w kontekście wypowiedzi polskich filozofów i tekstów Jacka Kaczmarskiego(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Różańska, GrażynaPatriotism according to the opinions of great Poles (J. Tischner, L. Kołakowski, B. Skarga) is a group of ideas, values, attitudes, predispositions of a human being – oriented towards multilateral development and striving for improving the life of society. Patriotism must be talked with young people skillfully and tactfully. Of course, it can be done in a pathetic, artificial and inauthentic way, telling students that it is a duty that is not discussed, but you can build imperceptibly desirable attitudes by developing students’ responsibility for themselves and other people, awakening empathy and openness, shaping first narrowly understood patriotism, starting from local ties, so-called small homeland, and ending with the great homeland and the European community. Jacek Kaczmarski’s lyrics are great for such lessons.Pozycja Patriotyzm jako wartość w serialu telewizyjnym na przykładzie „Czasu honoru. Powstanie”(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Molicka, PaulinaThis article is devoted to the issue of valuation in a television series. The exemplification material comes from the popular Polish production “Czas honoru. Powstanie”. The text aims to present representative examples – mainly the attitudes of young people who can be a model for modern generations of Poles.Pozycja Terapeutyczna moc literatury i innych dziedzin sztuki odkrywających sens życia i śmierci(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Karkut, DorotaIn the article I am taking reflection about the therapeutic value of art. I propose to juxtapose Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Girl with matches and Eric Emmanuel Schmitt’s book Oskar and Mrs. Rose with artistic expression and therapy through drama. I am paying attention to the subject raised by writers of the death being comforting and freeing. Understanding of this message, thanks to the participation in therapeutic classes, helps to discover the meaning of the life and at the same time allows you to overcome the fear of death and become familiar with its inevitability.Pozycja Edytorska lektura tomików wierszy Jerzego Ficowskiego, Elżbiety i Witolda Szwajkowskich, Agnieszki Frączek i innych w kontekście ćwiczeń logopedycznych(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Ostasz, Maria; Pustuła, MartaThe article is an attempt to look at a few selected volumes for a child’s addressee, which allows to indicate the aspects of evaluation to the buyers of such editions, and to the publishers to forecast the accuracy of composing such publications. The editorial reading was based on volumes of poems by Jerzy Ficowski, Elżbieta and Witold Szwajkowski, Marcin Brykczyński and Agnieszka Frączek in the context of speech therapy exercises. This editorial reading, also colloquially understood as “reading activity”, focused on the following phenomena: – bold, – italics, – highlighting with colour, – placing the text on a coloured background, – moving the information about the practised phonic sounds onto the margin, – placing the information about the practised phonic sounds and the age of the child in a live page, – font selection (serif/sans-serif), – change of the letter depending on the recipient of a given paragraph, etc. The observations concern the power of the educational (speech therapy) influence of the editorial material or the materiality of the book in the meaning of Roland Reuß. One can also try to say that this series of distinctions facilitates working with the text both for the speech therapist and the child. However, one should pay attention to the entire editorial and child-perspective of such editions. Not only the way of distinction itself is important, but the correspondingly clear contrasts between the used colours, writing degrees, spacing, etc. are preserved, remembering the fun and educational function of the type of publication for the child as a recipient, especially with speech therapy deficits.Pozycja Poloniści wobec charakterystyki postaci. Rekonesans badawczy(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Grzegórzek, MirosławThe article presents the outcome of a pilot survey carried out among Polish teachers of different educational stages, considering a figure’s characteristics as a school form of statement. Through both the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the gathered empirical material the author tries to define the place of a figure’s characteristics of scholastic activities, searching for the answer to such questions as: how do teachers perceive the usefulness of the relevant genre outside the sphere of the school communication? What methods do they use in their work with this form of statement in connection with its determined didactic aims? In which direction should the possible changes in approach to characterising at school go? It is all for the sake of the work during the lessons with the use of the genre, so it would serve the development of the young people’ subjectivity and respond to the challenges of modern interpersonal relations.Pozycja Sztuka pisania reportaży. Z doświadczeń dziennikarki i wykładowczyni przedmiotów specjalistycznych(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Bożek, MałgorzataGeneological research helps journalists, especially reporters, to understand the complexity of matter that they have to or they will have to deal eith in the future. The problem is that practicioners rarely (or even never) deal with a typology of species. The area of their interests includes mostly reaserches, like stylistic variety, that can be cratively broken. That means that they focus rather on working on their own, mostly based on concept, surprise or multistyled narration and communication strategy. It is understandable in face of mixing media genres and primacy of commenting over factual description of reality.Pozycja Wzmacnianie efektywnej konwersacji na linii uczeń – uczeń.
