| dc.description.abstract | The article characterises the main criteria for correctness of a language test as one of forms of control in foreign language teaching. The author describes the four main criteria for devising language tests: accuracy, reliability, practicalness as well as didactic value of tests. Furthermore, component parts and rules influencing the effectiveness of testing are discussed.
