The article presents materials coming from the newly uncovered sites of Tripoli culture from the Mizoc'ka Range of the West Volhynia, grouped within four zones. Ceramics from the researched settlements reveal elements characteristic for the Horiv-Nowomalin type and the Gordineśty group, whereas as for flint artefacts there are products and waste fragments made of easily accessible, local raw material.pl_PL.UTF-8
In the north-western part of the Mizoc'ka Hills, within the boundaries of the Dubno Raion, the Rivne Province (Ukraine), there are currently 20 sites of the Tripolye culture. Regarding the discussed area four concentration zones of settlements were identified, which were located in the territory of Mirogoŝa, Kostânec’, Listvin and Naraïv villages. All the zones have many common features in terms of location of sites of the Tripolye culture – most of them were located at the same height in the range of 250–275 m above the sea level, at the foot of the hills. Considering the site Mirogoŝa-15, researchers discovered a (defensive?) ditch for the first time in the Volhynia Upland, surrounding the area of the highest concentration of finds. Ceramics from these settlements reveal early elements, characteristic for the Horiv-Nowomalin type from the Horynia valley, and late ones, typical of the Gordineśty group. It is also characterised by unique features specific to the region. A large amount of flint waste products uncovered at some settlements (blades, cores and semi-finished products of axes) allows us to interpret them as specialist settlement-workshops. This suggests that one of the main reasons for occupying the Mizoc'ka Hills in the late phase of the C-II stage was the availability of flint raw material that was extracted and processed there.pl_PL.UTF-8
