Kompetencja interkulturowa w dydaktyce języków obcych – przegląd badań

Abstract

The article discusses the problem of teaching intercultural competence in a foreign language lesson. This competence is extremely important in the modern world because communication with representatives of other countries involves not only good knowledge of the language but also of the culture. The first part of this article highlights the most important theoretical issues related to interculturalism, whereas the second part presents and discusses the results of studies on intercultural competence which have been conducted in in Poland the past two decades.
