Abstract

The author, who is preparing a pragmalinguistic dissertation on the conversations of senior citizens, presents the topic of conversation of seniors, confronting it with the stereotypical images of old age and aging present in society. The article expresses the hope that the results of the research carried out within the framework of gerontolinguistics, being a response to the significant increase in the number of seniors observed nowadays in society, will contribute to the alleviation of manifestations of linguistic ageism, will gradually change the perception of seniors and, consequently, will make it possible to develop effective models of intergenerational communication.
