dc.description.abstract	Głównym celem rozprawy było zwrócenie uwagi na sposób, w jaki współczesne północnoamerykańskie pisarki pochodzenia indiańskiego przedstawiają w swojej prozie spekulatywnej przyszłość i zagrożenia, jakie niesie ze sobą ludzka działalność w epoce Antropocenu. W rozprawie przeanalizowano powieści z gatunków, dla których charakterystyczne jest przedstawienie wizji przyszłości, mieszczących się w gatunku określanym jako proza spekulatywna. Materiał do analizy stanowią: Moons of Palmares (1997) i Resistance (2013) autorstwa Zainab Amadahy, Trail of Lightning (2018) autorstwa Rebecci Roanhorse, Oracles (2004) Melissy Tantaquidgeon Zobel, The Marrow Thieves (2017) Cherie Dimaline i Future Home of the Living God (2017) autorstwa Louise Erdrich. W rozprawie zbadano sposób, w jaki wybrane pisarki kwestionują w swoich powieściach dualistyczne myślenie i związaną z nim opozycję natura-kultura. W centrum zainteresowania postawiono sposoby przedstawiania świata poza-ludzkiego oraz kobiecego ciała, a także sposób, w jaki wybrane pisarki przedstawiają relację między kobietami, a światem poza-ludzkim. W dysertacji opisano, w jaki sposób wybrane autorki zestawiają zachodnie nauki z naukami rdzennych Amerykanów i omówiono sposób, w jaki autorki reprezentują ich znaczenie dla zrównoważonego rozwoju.	pol
dc.description.abstract	The main aim of this dissertation was to discuss the way selected North American Indigenous female writers present in their speculative fiction the future of the Anthropocene. The dissertation examines the following works: African-American/Cherokee Zainab Amadahy’s Moons of Palmares (1997) and Resistance (2013), Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo/African-American Rebecca Roanhorse’s Trail of Lightning (2018) and Mohegan Melissa Tantaquidgeon Zobel’s Oracles (2004), Georgian Bay Métis Cherie Dimaline’s The Marrow Thieves (2017) and Anishinaabe Louise Erdrich’s Future Home of the Living God (2017). The dissertation explores the way the selected writers challenge the separation of nature and culture. It also focuses on the way the Indigenous female authors conceptualise nature and whether they acknowledge the agency of the more-than-human world. Attention is also paid to the way the selected American Indigenous authors represent the connection between women and nature. Finally, the dissertation also describes how the authors juxtapose western sciences with Indigenous knowledge (science) and discuss the way the authors represent their relevance to sustainable development.	eng
