Abstract

Ekspansja nowych technologii sprawia, że cyfrowy świat zaczyna wkraczać w środowisko dziecka na coraz wcześniejszym etapie jego rozwoju, a siła i wpływ mediów stają się coraz większe. Nowe technologie stanowią nieodłączny element funkcjonowania dziecka – służą do zabawy, komunikowania się z innymi i nauki. W artykule dokonano przeglądu badań dotyczących korzystania przez małe dzieci z urządzeń technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych. Zawarto rozważania na temat możliwości i zagrożeń wynikających z ich użytkowania.Expansion of new technologies causes that the digital world starts stepping into the child’s environment at an ever earlier stage of its development and the power and influence of the media are becoming ever stronger. New technologies constitute an inseparable element of child’s functioning – they are used for entertainment, for communicating with one another and for education. The text contains a review of studies on the use of information and communication devices by small children. It also contains a discourse on the possibilities and threats ensuing from their use.
