Correlation between Psychomotor Skills and Creativity among Secondary School Students and Future Teachers

The falling level of manual skills of the young generation is one of issues in the 21st century. The existing society asks for creative individuals who can work independently. On the other hand, the manually skilled ones are needed too. The core question of our research was to find out whether the individuals who score high on the test of creativity are at the same time manually skilled. In our opinion, it is important to be creative and manually skilful at once to become successful in these days. To ascertain the relationship between creativity and the level of manual skills, a random sample was selected from children from a secondary school and students of pedagogy. The presented research deals with research regarding levels of creativity and manual skills at secondary schools, that means in the Czech Republic kids from 10 to 14 years old, and at the faculty of education of teachers-to-be. Readers are acquainted with results of evaluating the students of teaching and the pupils/learners at secondary schools from the point of creative abilities in relation with the level of their manual skills. There was used the Urban´s test of creative thinking to test creativity, the level of psychomotor skills was tested using Testing batteries for psychomotor skills, which was made for the research purpose by as. Prof. Honzíková. Those research results as well as the unique testing battery for psychomotor skills are introduced.
Emotional education in teacher training through music

In the present article, the authors attempt to discuss the importance of working emotional intelligence with students who study the Degree of Teacher Training in Primary Education and Nursery Education. They pictured the benefits that emotional education through music offers. The authors tried to show the importance of developing musical intelligence in future teachers. It is connected with the fact that teachers directly influence their students- the all-round motivation and development. Music facilitates the interrelations between the teacher and learning process and the teacher-student relationship.

W artykule podjęto próbę analizy uwarunkowań systemowego wsparcia doskonalenia zawodowego w polskim systemie oświaty. Omówiono podstawy prawne systemu doskonalenia zawodowego nauczycieli oraz elementy tworzące ten system w Polsce. Ukazano tendencje rozwojowe systemu zarówno w obszarze zdobywania kwalifikacji przez nauczycieli, jak i doskonalenia posiadanej już wiedzy i umiejętności. Podkreślono specyfikę pracy nauczycieli w aspekcie zmian społeczno-gospodarczych i konieczność ciągłego doskonalenia się. Przeprowadzono analizę wyników badań w obszarze potrzeb edukacyjnych środowiska oświatowego w aspekcie preferencji dotyczących form doskonalenia zawodowego w ramach funkcjonowania powiatowej publicznej placówki doskonalenia nauczycieli, co pozwoliło wskazać tendencje i preferencje nauczycieli w obszarze doskonalenia zawodowego.
School culture and school effectiveness: cooperation with environment as a leading way of learning

In any academic institution two action levels with regards to school organization can be found. On the one hand, the macro-political level basically concerned with educative legislation and how these rule educative institutions. On the other hand, the micro-political level concerning school priorities. Along this book chapter we will provide a research based on how the macro and the micro political levels should handle together. Hence, we will basically provide an updated theoretical framework focusing on the most relevant trends. Moreover, we will keep on with a deep analysis of how stakeholders and active agents promote and develop curricular prescriptions. Finally, we will analyze and discuss how far the implementation of educative principles contributes to enhance the students’ interests and assumes their needs for a better teaching-learning process.
