Tekst i obraz stanowią tu nierozerwalną całość. Same rysunki nie mogłyby istnieć bez tekstu i na odwrót. Skonwencjonalizowana forma komiksu znacznie odróżnia go od książki obrazkowej. Niemniej daje ona współczesnemu odbiorcy pole do angażującej lektury. By odczytać wszystkie znaczenia zaklęte w komiksie, odbiorca odszyfrowuje szereg znaków tekstowych, ilustracyjnych i edytorskich. Niniejszy artykuł zawiera zestawienie charakterystycznych dla komiksu wyróżników edytorskich oraz analizę edytorską, która dekoduje znaczenia tych parametrów w treści analizowanego utworu.Pozycja Konopnicka w kręgu rodzinnym(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Maciąg, KazimierzReview: Maria Konopnicka, "Listy do synów i córek" ("Letters to sons and daughters"), edited and prefaced by Lena Magnone, Warsaw – Institute of Literary Studies at Polish Academy of Sciences; Żarnowiec – Maria Konopnicka Museum, Warsaw 2010, pp. 956. The author presents the history of Maria Konopnicka’s correspondence as well as the history of editing this part of the writer’s output. He shows the content of the reviewed volume including letters to the poet’s children and discusses its structure and editorial principles. The reviewer finds specific features of Konopnicka’s correspondence considering it on the background of epistolography of other writers. The letters of the most popular poet of the second half of the 19th century have their own specificity; seemingly without emotions they hide crucial information about the inner life of their authoress. They are also an irreplaceable source of knowledge of the history of her writing.Pozycja Korespondencja między Józefem Wittlinem i Romanem Brandstaetterem(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Zajączkowski, RyszardPreserved correspondence between Józef Wittlin and Roman Brandstaetter comprising 27 letters and postcards dated since the end of the 1950s is a testimony of their acquaintance since the middle of the 1920s and also of the epoch they both lived in. In those letters three topics are dominating, namely: exile, Assisi and literature. Wittlin was in New York as a political immigrant without any chance to return to Poland and in the case of Brandstaetter exile meant being on the margin of the writers’ environment and harassment of various sort from the authorities. The author of "Sól ziemi" ("Salt of land") inspired Brandstaetter’s interest in saint Francis of Assisi which later was abundantly reflected in the young writer’s literary output. In their correspondence Assisi often returns as a spiritual enclave against the chaos of the world, a space for moral revival and for happiness. Both writers also knew well and appreciated each other’s literary works. Brandstaetter viewed Wittlin as his literary mentor and confidant in difficult experiences and a judge in moral matters. In turn Wittlin willingly read Brandstaetter’s pieces and praised them because he found something of his own spirit and esthetical inclinations in them.Pozycja Korespondencyjne spotkania Gabrieli z Güntherów Puzyniny i Katarzyny z Lipińskich Lewockiej(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Berkan-Jabłońska, MariaThe article presents a set of three letters from Gabriela Puzynina (1815-1869) to (probably) Katarzyna Lewocka (1799-1890), preserved in the manuscript in the PAU and PAN Library in Cracow (ref. 718, k. 581-585). In addition to editing the letters and affixing their footnotes, the sketch also contains a brief overview of the woman authors’ life and work. Also, outlined are the circumstances of their meeting and probable genesis of the letters. Particular attention is devoted to two works of Puzynina, which are discussed in the letters: "Hedwig" - the tragedy published a year after the death of the author, and "The eighteenth century philosopher's daughter", her lost piece. The material is treated not only as a certificate of the nineteenth-century culture, but also broadens the knowledge about interests, aspirations and language specific to women writers of the nineteenth century.Pozycja Listy Hugona Kołłątaja do księgarza i wydawcy krakowskiego Jana Maja ze stycznia i lutego 1807 roku(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Nalepa, MarekWhen in December 1802 Hugo Kołłątaj was leaving the prison in Ołomuniec, he had one desire: to settle in a village, most preferably in Krzesławice and take care of his personal matters. Everything indicated that these aspirations might become a reality, although in a slightly modified shape than he had originally planned. This most eminent politician, publicist and reformer of the times of king Stanislaw Poniatowski returned to his homeland Wołyń and there, apart from scientific and educational activity, he made the effort to regain his possessions confiscated by the Austrians. However, soon Europe started boiling. Napoleon with his army began his march towards the East and he reached Wielkopolska. Awakened Polish hopes revived slightly dormant politicians; Julian Ursyn Niemcewicz returned from the USA. In turn republicans and former Jacobins suddenly remembered the vice-chancellor priest. They made attempts to bring him back to Warsaw and they offered him the leadership of the uprising in Wołyń. Anticipating the realization of one of those two scenarios on 10th January 1807 Russian officials forced their entry into Kołłątaj’s flat in Tetylkowce with the emperor’s order of immediate leaving for Moscow. The priest did not resist and in a short time he began an extremely tiresome journey. The letters that we publish here are an account of that journey. The author describes in them his observations and reflections in this remarkable correspondence directed to the bookseller and publisher from Cracow Jan Maj.Pozycja O listach Jana Lechonia i Kazimierza Wierzyńskiego (Kilka uwag na marginesie przygotowania edycji krytycznej)(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Dorosz, BeataThis article presents the problems faced by an editor preparing a correspondence dialogue between Jan Lechoń and Kazimierz Wierzyński (237 mainly handwritten letters from 1941-1956) for a critical edition, among others, the issue of completeness, dating, reading of the autograph. It signalizes some of the appearing motifs and problems in the letters, making an initial attempt to interpret them in the context of biographies of both authors and historical events (especially the experiences of emigration). Moreover, it contains seventeen short poetic pieces (poems, epigrams and trifles) by both poets which may be found among other contents on the pages of those letters. They have been read from the handwritten manuscripts and edited and therefore they appear in print for the very first time.Pozycja Refleksje Karola Olgierda Borchardta o zawodzie nauczyciela (listy pisarza do „Zosi”)(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Rusin, JoannaKarol Olgierd Borchardt (1905-1986) was a captain of ocean going navigation, a writer and a teacher. He started his teaching job during World War II in England where taught in and directed Maritime Gymnasium and Grammar School in Landywood. In 1953-1978 he lectured (mainly astronavigation) at Gdynia Maritime University. He was a unique and even charismatic teacher. He did not punish his students, rarely gave bad marks, he always treated his pupils as subjects of the teaching process, in a way that could be described as ‘fatherly-facetious’ manner. This outline comprises unpublished Borchardt’s letters in which the writer expressed his thoughts on the most difficult, according to him, profession – the profession of a teacher.Pozycja Samotność nad kartką papieru. Dąbrowska jako epistolografka(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Głębicka, EwaThe publication of Maria Dąbrowska "Diaries" allowed to look at the writer from a new, previously unknown perspective; her diary became one of the most important testimonies of contemporary times. A huge surprise for the historians of literature was vast correspondence of the writer numbering many thousands pieces in the following years. Among many of her sets of letters the most interesting ones are those exchanged with Marian Dąbrowski (ed. 2005), Jerzy Stempowski (ed. 2010) and his father Stanislaw (edition in preparation) as well as with a long-term life companion Anna Kowalska. The latter set numbering over 3100 letters, approved for publication due to the decision of heirs, will be published unabridged in years 2016-22; works on the first volume (1943-45) are significantly in progress. Among the sets designed for publication in the near future there is also the one with Kazimierz Wierzyński. This article discusses the most important sets of letters from and to Dąbrowska indicating their factual wealth and biographical specificity.Pozycja Siedleckie rekolekcje (ks. bp Ignacy Świrski - prof. Stanisław Pigoń)(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Kłak, CzesławThe project of encoding Stanisław Pigoń’s correspondence has included letters exchanged between Professor Stanisław Pigoń (1885-1968) and Bishop Ignacy Świrski (1885-1968) in years 1933-1967. 75 letters written by Świrski and only 3 by Pigoń were preserved but they allowed to recreate the history of the friendship between the heroes of this story and even to reach deeper, beyond the cited and published in full letters, in order to answer the question: what cultural, historical and ideological circumstances brought those two individuals closer to each other and what values laid the foundations for their friendship?Pozycja Wokół edycji typu „romantycy dzieciom”(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2023-12) Szargot, Maciej; Szargot, BarbaraArtykuł traktuje o popularnych w XX i XXI w. edycjach utworów romantycznych adresowanych dla dzieci. Opisuje dokonane zabiegi edytorskie (okładki, ilustracje, wybór, nadawanie tytułów, skróty, objaśnienia i komentarze, wstępy...). Ukazuje, jak zmiana adresu czytelniczego wpływa na kształt samych tekstów i ich potencjalny odbiór.Pozycja Wybór listów Ewy Felińskiej z lat 1840-1855(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2012) Cwenk, MałgorzataThe article announces and recalls the history of a bit forgotten collection of correspondence of a romantic writer and deportee. The collection covers two areas of the life and activity of Felińska. The exile lot is documented in unpublished letters to children and various addressees and the publishing lot – in those exchanged with Adam Zawadzki. Everyday matters of the exile appear quite rarely in the presented correspondence and if mentioned, always on a specific request of the addressee. There is no exile martyrdom. But there is fascination with cultural differences. In the letters to children attention is concentrated on problems shared by them in their letters to their mother. From the group of various addressees exceptional are the letter to Julia from the Raciborowskis Starorypińska (as a written, after the return from the exile, relation from events taking place after the Konarski’s supporters’ trial) and to Adam Zawadzki, being a record of editorial work on memoirs – "Wspomnienia z podróży do Syberii" ("Memoirs from the journey to Siberia") and "Pamiętniki z życia" ("Memoirs from life").
