Based on the analysis of the metric features, the artefact can be classified as the type XXI by Piotr Kaczanowski, i.e. a spearhead characterized by a relatively long and massive blade and a short socket. It is necessary to associate it with settlement of the Przeworsk culture within a range of dates from the end of the older to the beginning of the younger Roman period.Pozycja Nowe materiały funeralne ze stanowiska 18 w Wierzawicach, pow. leżajski w ujęciu archeologicznym i antropologicznym(Muzeum Okręgowe w Rzeszowie; Instytut Archeologii UR; Fundacja Rzeszowskiego Ośrodka Archeologicznego; Oficyna Wydawnicza „Zimowit”, 2015) Ocadryga-Tokarczyk, Ewelina; Rogóż, Joanna; Tokarczyk, TomaszThe aim of this paper is to present new materials from Wierzawice site 18, Leżajsk County. They were discovered during the archaeological supervision carried out by the Foundation for Archaeological Centre in Rzeszów in 2014. As a result, six graves were examined. Four of them were undoubtedly cremation burials – one without an urn, the other three urned burials and presumably one skeletal burial. They are supplemented by the findings from completely damaged graves. Cremated bones were examined anthropologically. These materials should be associated with the Tarnobrzeg Lusatian culture and dated back to the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age.Pozycja Pierwsze sprawozdanie z weryfikacyjnych badań na grodzisku z wczesnej epoki żelaza w Chotyńcu(Muzeum Okręgowe w Rzeszowie, 2017) Czopek, Sylwester; Trybała-Zawiślak, Katarzyna; Tokarczyk, Tomasz; Ocadryga-Tokarczyk, Ewelina; Burghardt, Marcin; Adamik-Proksa, Joanna; Rajpold, WojciechThe article presents the results of the trial excavations carried out in 2016 at the fortified settlement in Chotyniec, Jarosław district. It is an object which has been known and mentioned in archaeological literature for a long, but without its precise chronological affiliation, due to the lack of excavations. However, it was most often combined with the Middle Ages. The conducted research requires significant adjustments. All the sources and contextual records allow us to link this large fortified settlement in Chotyniec with the Early Iron Age and the forest steppe variant of the Scythian cultural circle. This unique site will be researched in the next excavation seasons.Pozycja Wyniki badań archeologicznych prowadzonych w 2017 roku na ulicy 3 Maja w Rzeszowie, stanowisko 17(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2018) Kocańda, Paweł; Ocadryga-Tokarczyk, Ewelina; Tokarczyk, TomaszAt the beginning of 2017, the Foundation for Archaeological Centre in Rzeszów began excavation research at 3 Maja Street in Rzeszów. A gradientometer device was used for the study, which measures the degree of variation in the Earth’s magnetic field. The research was conducted on an area of 1.25 ha within the southwestern part of the site. The obtained results were then verified in the course of excavation work. Five immovable features reflecting clear magnetic signals were exposed in the planned archaeological excavations. The excavation research provided insights into the nature of the site, documenting its extent and layout, among other things.
