Proces społeczno-ekonomicznej transformacji w Polsce generuje dużo zmian zarówno o lokalnym, jak i ogólnokrajowym charakterze. W tej sytuacji rola łódzkiego rynku pracy ulega ewolucji. Artykuł dotyczy analizy wybranych aspektów bezrobocia w gospodarce łódzkiej. Omówiono m.in. różnorodne zagadnienia związane ze stanem i strukturą bezrobocia w województwie łódzkim, wybrane problemy grup rynku pracy, napływ i odpływ z bezrobocia. W opracowaniu wykorzystano dane statystyczne i informacje Urzędu Statystycznego w Łodzi oraz Wojewódzkiego Urzędu Pracy, a także GUS. Dane były pomocne dla analizy łódzkiego rynku pracy. Należy zauważyć także, iż różne dociekania odnośnie rynku pracy woj. łódzkiego są sprawą otwartą. Stąd wydaje się, iż celowe jest kontynuowanie badań z tego zakresu.

The process of socio-economic transformation in Poland generates many changes both of local and national character. In this situation, the role of the Łódź labour market undergoes a constant evolution. The paper concerns the analysis of the selected aspects of unemployment in the economy of the Łódź voivodeship. The main goal is to present various problems concerning the condition and the structure of the unemployment in the Łódź administrative province, the selected problems of groups connected with the local labour market, the inflow and outflow from unemployment. The report is based on statistical data and information provided by the Provincial Statistical Office in Łódź and the Provincial Labour Office, as well as by the Central Statistical Office in Warszawa. The data were helpful when analyzing the labour market of Łódź administrative province. It should be noted also that a number of different issues connected with the Łódź local labour market are open. Hence, it would seem advisable to continue the research in this field.
