(Nie)stereotypowe ujęcie niepełnosprawności w utworach Olgi Ptak i Jacka Hołuba

Niniejsza dysertacja poświęcona jest analizie współczesnej literatury niefikcjonalnej podejmującej temat do-świadczenia niepełnosprawności z perspektywy matek wychowujących dzieci atypowe. Głównym celem badań było wzbogacenie refleksji literaturoznawczej nad wspomnianym obszarem zagadnień poprzez interpretację wybranych narracji Olgi Ptak oraz Jacka Hołuba w kontekście humanistyki zaangażowanej. Praca łączy narzędzia literackich studiów o niepełnosprawności, narratologii, studiów o macierzyństwie oraz hermeneutyki, co umożliwiło interdyscyplinarne ujęcie analizowanych tekstów. Istotnym uzupełnieniem rozważań były badania ankietowe dotyczące odbioru omawianych książek przez studentów kierunków nauczycielskich, mające na celu określenie wpływu lektur o niepełno-sprawności na doświadczenia czytelnicze i postawy społeczne respondentów. Rozprawa składa się z pięciu rozdziałów: dwóch teoretycznych - poświęconych metodo-logii badawczej, stereotypom, matrocentrycznemu zwrotowi w literaturze i narracjom autobiograficznym - oraz trzech analitycznych - obejmujących interpretację reportaży Hołuba, książki Ptak oraz wyniki badań empirycznych. Całość ukazuje literaturę jako istotne narzędzie edukacyjne, krytyczne i emancypacyjne, zdolne do przełamywania stereotypowych reprezentacji niepełnosprawności oraz jej społeczno-kulturowych uwarunkowań.

The present doctoral dissertation explores contemporary non-fiction narratives that depict disability as experienced by mothers raising atypical children. Its primary objective is to contribute to literarycritical discourse through an interpretative examination of selected works by Olga Ptak and Jacek Hołub, framed within the paradigm of engaged humanities. The analysis adopts an interdisciplinary perspective, drawing on literary disability studies, narratology, motherhood studies and hermeneutics.The interpretative component is complemented by empirical survey research focused on the reception of the analysed texts among students enrolled in teacher education programmes. This part of the project investigates the influence of disability-focused narratives on readers’ interpretative practices and social sensibilities.The dissertation comprises five chapters, including two theoretical sections addressing methodological considerations, disability-related stere-otypes, the matrocentric turn in contemporary writ-ingand autobiographical modes of expression, followed by three analytical chapters devoted to Hołub’s reportage, Ptak’s volume, and the discussion of empirical findings. Overall, the research positions literature as an educational, critical, and emancipatory medium capable of destabilising stereotypical representations and elucidating the socio-cultural conditions shaping experiences of disability.
