Poszerzanie granic miast na prawach powiatu w Polsce w latach 2002-2018

Abstract

Celem rozprawy było przedstawienie przebiegu zmian w podziale terytorialnym Polski w odniesieniu do miast na prawach powiatu w latach 2002-2018, ich charakterystyka oraz zidentyfikowanie sposobów, w ramach których dokonywane były poszerzenia granic tych miast. Badania pogłębione prowadzone były w trzech miastach: Rzeszowie, Opolu i Zielonej Górze. Są to miasta, które w latach 2002-2018 poszerzyły swoje granice o obszary zajmujące największą powierzchnię. W każdym przypadku odbyło się to jednak innym trybem i w innych okolicznościach. Podstawy teoretyczne dysertacji stanowił nowy instytucjonalizm. W pracy odwołano się także do koncepcji urban governance. W przeprowadzonych badaniach wykorzystano kilka metod i technik badawczych. Były to: metoda wielokrotnego studium przypadku, metoda porównawcza, metoda instytucjonalno-prawna, desk research oraz indywidualne wywiady pogłębione. Rozprawa składa się z wstępu, sześciu rozdziałów, zakończenia, bibliografii, wykazu tabel i map, oraz trzech aneksów.

The aim of this dissertation was to present the course of changes in the territorial division of Poland with reference to cities with county rights between 2002 and 2018, their characteristics, and to identify the ways in which the boundaries of these cities were expanded. In-depth research was conducted in three cities: Rzeszów, Opole, and Zielona Góra. These cities expanded their boundaries between 2002 and 2018, incorporating the largest areas. However, each case was executed through different procedures and under varying circumstances. The theoretical foundations of the dissertation were grounded in new institutionalism. In the conducted research, the author employed several research methods and techniques, including multiple case study method, comparative method, institutional-legal method, desk research, and in-depth individual interviews. The dissertation consists of an introduction, six chapters, a conclusion, a bibliography, a list of tables and maps, as well as three appendices.
