Współczesny terroryzm w sposób istotny zagraża UE. Dawno już przestał być postrzegany jako problem regionalny i stał się zjawiskiem globalnym występującym we wszystkich regionach świata. Europa od kilku dekad podejmuje szereg działań mających na celu zwalczanie terroryzmu. Metody te, podobnie jak samo zjawisko, ewoluują i zmieniają się w zależności od skomplikowanych uwarunkowań. Pomimo tych starań terroryzm jest nadal problemem, który destabilizuje ład i porządek światowy, sieje strach i przerażenie, a terroryści, korzystając z nowoczesnych środków pola walki i działając w asymetrycznej formie, są w stanie przeprowadzać skuteczne i efektywne zamachy.Contemporary terrorism is a threat that significantly threatens the EU. It has long ceased to be perceived as a regional problem and has become a global phenomenon occurring in all regions of the world. For several decades, Europe has been taking a number of actions to combat terrorism. These methods, just like the phenomenon itself, evolve and change depending on complex conditions. Despite these efforts, terrorism is still a problem that destabilizes world order and spreads fear and terror, and the terrorists themselves, using modern battlefield means and acting in an asymmetric form, are able to carry out effective and efficient attacks.
