Wybrane filozoficzne wątki u twórców Młodej Polski

Abstract

Młoda Polska to epoka literacka z przełomu XIX i XX w. Artykuł przedstawia wybrane wątki filozoficzne obecne u poetów i pisarzy tej epoki: bankructwo idei, rozpaczliwy hedonizm, dążenie do nirwany, hasło „sztuka dla sztuki” i kult artysty, krytykę moralności mieszczańskiej, nawiązywanie do kultury ludowej oraz podjęcie kwestii narodowej. W końcowej części zawarto krytykę Młodej Polski według filozofa Stanisława Brzozowskiego oraz konkluzje pracy.

Young Poland is a literary era at the turn of the 19 th and 20 th centuries. The article presents selected philosophical threads that appeared among poets and writers of this era: bankruptcy of ideas, desperate hedonism, striving for nirvana, the slogan “art for art’s sake” and the cult of the artist, criticism of bourgeois morality, references to folk culture and engagement with the national question. The article concludes with a critique of Young Poland from the perspective of the philosopher Stanisław Brzozowski and summarizes the main findings.
