Niniejsza praca porusza problematykę różnorodności
okrzemek w środowiskach lądowych. Celem pracy było
zbadanie różnorodności okrzemek oraz określenie
struktury i dynamiki zbiorowisk rozwijających się na
pniach wybranych gatunków drzew liściastych. Badania
prowadzono w latach 2017–2018, na przestrzeni ośmiu
sezonów badawczych, na ośmiu stanowiskach
zlokalizowanych w Polsce południowo-wschodniej. Na
każdym z wyznaczonych stanowisk materiał pobierano z
trzech rodzajów drzew: klonu jaworu, lipy i topoli.
Każdorazowo pobierano próby z wszystkich dostępnych
w obrębie pnia mikrosiedlisk na wysokości 20 i 150 cm
nad poziomem gruntu.
Pobrana kora została wykorzystana do przygotowania
przesączy, w których wykonano pomiary parametrów
chemicznych. Parametry te wskazały na dużą zasobność analizowanych siedlisk w biogeny oraz odczyn lekko
kwaśny do obojętnego. Uzyskane wyniki nie wykazały
istotnych różnić pomiędzy gatunkami drzew, z których
pochodziły pobrane materiały. Nie wykazano także
związku pomiędzy koncentracją zmierzonych jonów a
występowaniem okrzemek.
Badane mikrosiedliska charakteryzowały się dużą
różnorodnością, łącznie zidentyfikowano 160 taksonów
okrzemek. Dla 28 oznaczonych taksonów było to
pierwsze stwierdzenie z terenu kraju, a 14 z nich jest
pierwszy raz zidentyfikowane poza locus typicus. 13
gatunków okrzemek uznano za dominanty (>10%
udziału w zbiorowisku), spośród których najliczniejsze,
niemal monokulturowe zbiorowiska, tworzyły Luticola
acidoclinata i Orthoseira dendroteres
The aim of the study was to investigate the diversity of diatoms and to determine the structure and dynamics of communities developing on the trunks of selected species of deciduous trees. The research was conducted in the years 2017-2018, over eight research seasons, at eight sites located in south-eastern Poland. At each of the designated sites, material was collected from three types of trees: sycamore maple, linden and poplar. Each time, samples were taken from all microhabitats accessible within the trunk at a height of 20 and 150 cm above the ground level. The collected bark was used to prepare the filtrates where chemical parameters were measured. These parameters indicated a high abundance of nutrients in the analyzed habitats and a slightly acidic to neutral reaction. The obtained results did not show any significant differences between the tree species from which the collected materials were obtained. There was also no relationship between the concentration of the measured ions and the presence of diatoms. The studied microhabitats were characterized by high diversity, a total of 160 taxa of diatoms were identified. For 28 designated taxa it was the first finding from the territory of the country, and 14 of them are identified for the first time outside the locus typicus. 13 species of diatoms were considered dominants (> 10% share in the community), of which the most numerous, almost monocultural communities were Luticola acidoclinata and Orthoseira dendroteres
