Pozycja Raport o sytuacji Polonii i Polaków za granicą 2009, Warszawa 2009; Raport o sytuacji Polonii i Polaków za granicą 2012, Warszawa 2013(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Bonusiak, Andrzej; Czop, EdytaPozycja „Polskie szkolnictwo w Wielkiej Brytanii: tradycja i nowoczesność” – raport. Redaktor - koordynator Dorota Praszałowicz(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Romejko, AdamPozycja Oblicza współczesnych organizacji polonijnych w wybranych krajach unijnej piętnastki(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Czop, EdytaThe article deals with issues to do with organizational life of the Polish milieus in the “old” Member States of the EU-15. It is predominantly focused on the most recent forms of the Poles’ activity which used to be considered an absolute novelty just a few years ago. This is exemplified by a functional analysis of women’s organizations, self-help groups as well as organizations grouping top class specialists. The Author tries to explain the reasons why the Poles flowing into the EU countries try to resolve their problems by themselves. Also, the Author attempts to answer the question why old Polonia organizations are not always able to respond effectively to the recent migrant community needs.Pozycja Społeczność polska w Wielkiej Brytanii w świetle współczesnej twórczości powieściowej. Analiza mimetyczna(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Romejko, AdamRené Girard’s mimetic theory is based on an analysis of a variety of literary works, including novels, myths and the Bible. Its main assumption is that human behaviour is animated by mimesis. Under certain conditions it can lead to serious conflicts. In the past, communities coped with this problem using a system based on the mechanism of victimization (the scapegoat ritual). The Girardian insights may be applied in studies focusing on the Polish community in the United Kingdom, especially by analyzing literary works. Research can reveal an image that is different from the ones that are often promoted. The Poles who settled in Great Britain were and still are average people and not heroes whom they consider themselves to be. On the British soil they look for personal happiness and want a normal life among those who accept and love them.Pozycja Współczesne organizacje polonijne i ich rola w życiu Polonii w Holandii(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Leska-Ślęzak, JoannaStarting from the XIX century migrations have become a mass phenomenon. Currently, they are considered a fundamental value and a human right. The Netherlands occupies an important place among the countries to which Poles emigrate. Over the XX and XXI century, the Polish community in the Netherlands established organizational forms which significantly facilitate the Polish emigrees’ living abroad. The Polish diaspora in the Netherlands is estimated at around 200 thous. The contemporary Polonia organizations fulfill many functions: they assist, inform, educate, offer cultural activities. The Internet is the main communication instrument for the contemporary Polish diaspora organizations in the Netherlands.Pozycja Aktywność polityczna Polaków na Litwie i Ukrainie na przełomie XX i XXI wieku. Studium przypadków(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Bonusiak, AndrzejThe collapse of the USRR marks the beginning of a new period in the history of the Poles who used to live in this state. In the aftermath of the political processes, the Poles, who were dispersed in the various areas of the Soviet Union, started to function in its sovereign successor states. Both their capacity to act and results achieved were dependent on how numerous their milieus have been, what the given national majority’s attitude to the Poles was, if the Poles’ choices were opportune as well as what the legal conditions in which the national minorities could function were in those states. The present article attempts to analyse the Poles’ situation in Lithuania and Ukraine between 1988 and 2014.Pozycja Polityczne zaangażowanie mniejszości polskiej na Litwie po wyborach parlamentarnych 2012 roku(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Sidorkiewicz, KrzysztofThe article presents an analysis of the activities undertaken by Poles in Lithuania following the parliamentary election of 2012. The Polish minority took an active part in the Lithuanian politics. Związek Polaków na Litwie [The Union of Poles in Lithuania] followed by Akcja Wyborcza Polaków na Litwie [Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania] presented their programs for the coming elections. Their involvement in the Lithuanian politics at the national level enabled them to articulate issues important for the Polish community in Lithuania. AWPL participated in the governing coalition. The political circumstances made their proposed solutions not easy to implement. Some problems were temporarily resolved, while most of the important issues remained under discussion. The analysis is based on various documents: agreements, treaties, declarations, statements. Also, it uses press material available in the Internet editions.Pozycja Polacy w Białoruskiej Socjalistycznej Republice Sowieckiej 1986-1991. Wybrane aspekty(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Gawin, TadeuszThe article is an attempt at presenting the ways in which the Polish People’s Republic’s and the Third Polish Republic’s authorities took advantage of the Gorbatschev’s perestroika in the USSR as well as of the new intellectual currents in Poland to help the Poles in the USSR to pursue their national revival. The text is based on archival documents (mainly from Archiwum Akt Nowych, zespół Wydział Zagraniczny Komitetu Centralnego PZPR) as well as an analysis of the most recent publications concerning the issue. The article first aims at answering the questions how the Poles in Belarus used the offered support in 1988-1991 and if they managed to lay foundations for the future Polish activity in Belarus. Second, it tries to assess if and to what extent the Poles living in Poland were involved in the authorities’ actions for the benefit of their compatriots in Belarus.Pozycja Polacy we współczesnym życiu diasporalnym(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2014) Chodubski, AndrzejThe article is an attempt to produce an original insight into the functioning of the Polish milieus abroad. It presents an attempt at assessing the current position of the Polish diaspora; its organizational potential; cultural activities; the role of contemporary migration processess as well as the changing position of the Catholic Church. Because of the vast scope of the analytical field, the Author chooses to focus on selected aspects of the diaspora life – those that are, in his opinion, the most important nowadays.
