Pozycja Alokacja jednoprocentowa w perspektywie regionalnej – współpraca samorządu województwa z organizacjami pożytku publicznego(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2013) Piechota, GrażynaThe article is devoted to an analysis of the allocation of 1 percent of income tax from the perspective of local cooperation between voivodship authorities and public benefit organisations. Research carried out in 2012-2013 confirmed the uneven allocation of 1 per cent between voivodships (amounts that are allocated by residents vs. amounts that voivodship- based organisations have at their disposal) and within voivodships. Research revealed that voivodship authorities do not cooperate with organisations seated there as regards campaigns aimed at obtaining 1 percent of tax. The activities of voivodship authorities' are rather symbolic and 1 percent of tax is still not treated as a financing instrument to obtain money for the region's development understood as the realisation of common good by locally active organisations.Pozycja Postulowany model wspólnoty oraz dobra wspólnego w publikacjach katolickiego tygodnika społecznego „Ład” w latach 1981–1984(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2020) Tasak, AgataThe paper focuses on the analyses of the socio-political concepts presented in the Catholic social weekly “Ład” in the years 1981–1984. In the period under question, the periodical was a media platform which enabled the expression of views by lay Catholics who perceived opportunities for increasing their socio-political activity in the political reality of Poland at that time. The model of community proposed by them, as well as the way of defining the common good, were for the most part consistent with the concepts of the social teaching of the Catholic Church and conformed to the guidelines of the hierarchs of the Catholic Church in Poland – especially Primate Stefan Wyszyński. The calls to action for the common good were combined with the idea of reconciliation, dialogue, and cooperation. Accordingly, the national community was thus considered the most important community of all. It should be emphasized that these concepts were supposed to enhance the power and importance of this particualt community of Catholics in public life and to contribute to establishing their position as the most important representative of the Catholics on the political scene of the period.Pozycja Public administration as the service for the common good(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019) Chochowska, AnnaIn a modern state, public administration plays a very important role. It is difficult to imagine a state without the existence of its executive apparatus. What is more, the quality of the tasks it carries out, as well as the proper functioning of the state and its organs depend largely on the way public administration is organised. The purpose of the article is to show that public administration in a democratic country based on the rule of law should be equated with a public service aiming to achieve the common good and pursuing the interests of all citizens.
