Abstract

The relationship between medicine and philosophy has played a fundamental role in shaping our understanding of health, life, and human biological organization. Throughout history, the interaction between philosophical reflection and medical inquiry has influenced explanations of living organisms, while debates among mechanistic, vitalist, and holistic perspectives have contributed to scientific progress. A comprehensive understanding of the human person therefore requires an interdisciplinary approach that integrates philosophy, medicine, and technology in order to address contemporary scientific and ethical challenges.
