Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą zebrania i uporządkowania informacji dotyczących Cysterny Bazylikowej w oparciu o ostatnie publikacje w znacznym stopniu dostępne tylko w języku tureckim. Tekst przedstawia historię, legendy oraz współczesną formę zagospodarowania jedynego w swoim rodzaju parku archeologicznego. Konstrukcja cysterny przetrwała do czasów współczesnych praktycznie w niezmienionej postaci, dzięki czemu mamy możliwość podziwiania niezwykłego kunsztu antycznych inżynierów. Jednak to na podstawie źródeł pisanych jesteśmy w stanie prześledzić ogólne losy założenia oraz zmieniające się koncepcje jej wykorzystania.

Kościuszko Street in Rzeszów, leading from the market square to the main promenade, is considered to be one of the oldest streets in the city. In the late Middle Ages and the early Modern Period, it connected the city centre with the parish church, where the first owners of Rzeszów rest. In the course of the archaeological watching brief conducted during the reconstruction of the street, it was possible to collect a significant number of artefacts related to the everyday life of the city (e.g. tiles, glass objects, coins, horseshoes). The subject matter of this article is a selection of footwear pieces and the items directly related to them. The research gives an opportunity to get to know better the material culture and tastes of the inhabitants of Rzeszów.
Wyniki badań i nadzorów archeologicznych przeprowadzonych na ulicy Kościuszki w Rzeszowie w 2018 roku

The article focuses on the results of archaeological works and watching briefs that were conducted at Kościuszko Street in Rzeszów in 2018. In the course of research the remains of the wooden lining of the street were uncovered, which were associated with the street reconstruction and functioning until the Austrian times. Additionally, the thesis about a much shorter range of Kościuszko Street and the distinctiveness of the parish church as an additional point in the urban defence system was confirmed. The presented text deals with describing each of the excavation trench and summarizing the results of an archaeological watching brief.
