Czas wolny jako wskaźnik stylów życia młodziezy pogranicza polsko-ukraińskiego

Abstract

The article shows the results of research into ways of spending free time and the lifestyles of young people living near the Polish-Ukrainian border. The data were collected from a questionnaire survey carried out on a sample of 1,318 respondents. The findings indicate that young people living on both sides of the border spend free time in a similar manner. In their free time, the subjects spend time together, enjoying themselves and relaxing. The results of factor analysis made it possible for the analyst to observe the subjects’ lifestyles. These were most often affected by cultural capital. Young people with cultural capital had an active and creative lifestyle. This phenomenon could be observed on both sides of the border.
