Praca pod tytułem Twórczość poetycka Adriana Wacława Brzózki to pierwsza rozprawa naukowa opisująca najważniejsze kwestie poruszane przez Adriana Wacława Brzózkę – brata z zakonu franciszkanów i autora dziesięciu tomów wierszy. Rozprawa skupia się na dwu głównych tematach jego utworów powstałych w latach 1995-2013: sanctum i sacrum w odniesieniu do wielorakich przejawów ludzkiej egzystencji oraz na problematyce pogranicza ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem obrazu Wołynia. Wiersze poety zostały potraktowane jako swoiste loci theologici, a bohater liryczny tej twórczości został odczytany jako homo religiosus. Jego życie jest oczekiwaniem na śmierć, dzięki której złączy się z Bogiem. W poetyckiej teologii Brzózki omawiano zarówno obraz Boga w Trójcy Świętej, jak i aniołów i świętych, którzy stają się przyjaciółmi człowieka. Przy interpretacji utworów Brzózki, zaliczonych do poezji osób duchownych, korzystano przede wszystkim z Pisma Świętego, symboli wiary, nauczania soborów, Papieża oraz teologów i filozofów. Z kolei w wierszach poruszających problematykę „rzezi wołyńskiej” zwrócono uwagę na wykorzystanie przez poetę mitów kresowych oraz na zaangażowanie tej poezji w poprawę relacji między Polakami i Ukraińcami. Poczynione ustalenia są jedynie zarysem problematyki zawartej w omawianej twórczości i mogą stanowić punkt wyjścia do dalszych badań tej poezji.

The work under the title of “The poetic work of Adrian Wacław Brzózka” is the first scientific dissertation describing the most important issues raised by Adrian Wacław Brzózka – a brother of the Franciscan Order and the author of ten volumes of poetry. The dissertation focuses on two main themes of his works from the years 1995-2013: sanctum and sacrum in relation to the many manifestations of human existence and on the border issues with special emphasis on the image of Volyn. His poems have been treated as specific loci theologici and the lyrical character of these works has been interpreted as homo religiosus. His life is waiting for death, through which he will connect with God. In Brzózka’s poetic theology both the image of God in the Trinity, and the angels and saints who have become friends of man were discussed. When interpreting Brzózka’s works, which belong to the poetry of the clergy, the Sacred Scripture, the creeds, the teaching of the Pope and Vatican Councils, as well as the theologians’ and philosophers’ have been used. In the poems that deal with the issues of "Volhynian massacre", in turn, the attention has been drawn to the use of borderland myths by the poet and the commitment of his poetry in improving the relations between Poles and Ukrainians. The findings are only an outline of the issues contained in the discussed poetic works and can be a starting point for further studies of the poetry.
