Omówiono podstawowe dziedziny życia Łemków w XVIII–XIX w., stosunki gospodarcze, społeczne, religijne i kulturalne oraz ich zależności w kontekście polityki państwowej. Ukazano również silny splot stosunków społecznych, kulturalnych i narodowościowych w ramach tej społeczności oraz wybrane kwestie kultury materialnej i życia codziennego, a także kształtowanie się lokalnych elit.The article presents the fate of the Lemko community residing in the western parts of the Pieniny region (including the villages of Szlachtowa, Jaworki, Czarna Woda, and Biała Woda) in the 19th century. It discusses the basic aspects of Lemko life in the 18th –19th centuries, including economic, social, religious, and cultural relations and their dependencies in the context of state policy.
