Understanding of this relationship has changed over the centuries, but this article focuses primarily on contemporary issues. The analysis makes reference to the texts of Max Scheler and Arthur Schopenhauer, as well as to the poetry of Rilke. This indicates that a human being should accept the necessity of death.
