Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie wiedzy z zakresu nauk społecznych użytecznej w pracy nauczyciela polonisty na każdym etapie kształcenia.The article describes the many-sided attempt to analyze the issue of abilities and the term ‘gifted student’. The knowledge of psychology and pedagogy as well as anthropocentric, didactical approach is taken into account. In connection to that the gifted student and his efforts are considered subjectively.
