Przed nawiązaniem do tego głównego zagadnienia następuje próba krótkiego wyjaśnienia pojęć kluczowych dla zrozumienia omawianych treści (języka młodzieży – jego różnego nazewnictwa, a także funkcjonowania jako socjolektu). Wstępne wyjaśnienia i rozpoznania służą zbudowaniu dalszego obrazu postaw przyjmowanych przez niektóre środowiska wobec języka młodych ludzi na kilku płaszczyznach. Jedną z nich rozpatrzono na poziomie relacji młodzieży do używanego przez nią slangu. Po krótce skupiono się na roli szkoły jako instytucji mającej kształtować poszanowanie języka ojczystego. Następna część refleksji mówi o tym, jakie postawy wobec slangu młodzieżowego może wykazywać starsze pokolenie. W celu uzasadnienia i uwiarygodnienia wniosków spostrzeżenia skonfrontowano z wynikami badań ankietowych odzwierciedlających empiryczny wymiar niektórych zjawisk językowych.The article addresses the issue of how certain social groups perceive the language of youth (youth slang). Before addressing this main issue, an attempt is made to briefly explain the concepts that are key to understanding the content discussed (youth language – its various names, as well as its functioning as a sociolect). Initial explanations and diagnoses serve to build a further picture of the attitudes adopted by some groups towards the language of young people on several levels. One of them is considered at the level of the relationship between young people and the slang they use. The focus is briefly on the role of school as an institution that is supposed to shape respect for the native language. The next part of the reflection discusses the attitudes towards youth slang that the older generation may demonstrate.
