Przedmiotem analizy są propozycje poprawek głównie do art. 60 projektu Konstytucji PRL, który dotyczył spraw ochrony zdrowia oraz ubezpieczeń społecznych. Mimo prób totalitaryzacji ówczesnej rzeczywistości politycznej i społecznej część obywateli postanowiła zabrać głos w kwestii ochrony swoich praw, zwłaszcza socjalnych. Punktem wyjścia do tych rozważań jest tło polityczno-społeczne oraz ustrojowe ówczesnej debaty konstytucyjnej w Polsce Ludowej, w porównaniu do kampanii konstytucyjnej w ZSRS w 1936 r.The aim of this article is to discuss selected proposals concerning healthcare as well as pensions and disability benefits, as voiced during the nationwide debate on the draft Constitution of the Polish People’s Republic in 1952. Accordingly, the analysis focuses on proposed amendments—particularly to Article 60 of the draft Constitution—which addressed matters related to healthcare and social insurance. Despite efforts to impose a totalitarian framework on the political and social reality of the time, some citizens chose to raise their voices in defence of their rights, especially social rights.
