Obowiązująca bowiem ustawa z dnia 8 czerwca 2001 roku jest w zasadzie tzw. prawem martwym i nie przyczynia się do zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa osobom, które korzystają z usług świadczonych przez psychologów. Stan ten jest nie do zaakceptowania w dobie szybkiego wzrostu liczby osób wymagających różnego rodzaju interwencji psychologicznych. Wprowadzenie regulacji prawnych, które w sposób kompleksowy unormują zasady wykonywania tego zawodu zabezpieczy prawidłowość świadczonych usług psychologicznych, co będzie korzystne zarówno dla samych psychologów, jak też ich klientów. Żywić należy nadzieję, że w niedługim czasie uchwalony zostanie kompleksowy akt prawny, który zadowoli nie tylko środowisko psychologów ale przede wszystkim przyczyni się do zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa w obszarze zdrowia psychicznego Polaków. Artykuł ma na celu wykazanie, że zawód psychologa spełnia wszystkie cechy zawodów zaufania publicznego, o których stanowi Konstytucja RP w art. 17 ust. 1 a zatem należy wprowadzić administracyjnoprawne ograniczenia w wykonywaniu tego zawodu, dbając tym samym o zabezpieczenie interesów państwa i jego obywateli w zakresie dostępu do profesjonalnych usług psychologicznych.The article discusses the need to regulate the profession of psychologist on the model of professions of public trust. The current Act of 8 June 2001 is basically a so-called dead law and does not contribute to ensuring the safety of people who use the services provided by psychologists. This state of affairs is unacceptable in the era of a rapid increase in the number of people requiring various types of psychological interventions. The introduction of legal regulations that will comprehensively regulate the rules of this profession will secure the correctness of psychological services provided, which will be beneficial both for psychologists themselves and their clients. It is to be hoped that in the near future a comprehensive legal act will be passed, which will satisfy not only the community of psychologists, but above all will contribute to ensuring safety in the area of mental health of Poles.
