Studia i materiały nr 11/2024, s. 384-4132450-5854https://repozytorium.ur.edu.pl/handle/item/10982W artykule przedstawiono kilka uwag na temat elit miejskich i małomiasteczkowych w osadach miejskich Galicji Wschodniej pod koniec XVIII w. Na podstawie zachowanych dokumentów podatkowych, tj. metryki józefińskiej i opisań urbarialnych, starano się wskazać, kogo można uznać za przedstawicieli miejskich elit. Za takich uznano szlacheckich właścicieli cząstek w miastach, szlachtę miejską posiadającą w miastach grunty wolne, bez powinności feudalnych, duchownych obydwu obrządków, tj. rzymskokatolickiego i unickiego. Poza tym do elity zaliczono urzędników prywatnych (plenipotentów, leśniczych, justycjariuszy, mandatariuszy) oraz urzędników państwowych (poczmajstrów, urzędników cyrkularnych). Ponadto do lokalnych elit zaliczono ludzi pełniących funkcje w miejskich magistratach.This article presents some remarks on urban and small-town elites in the urban settlements of Eastern Galicia at the end of the 18th century. On the basis of the surviving tax documents, i.e. the Josephine metric and urbarial descriptions, an attempt was made to indicate who could be regarded as representatives of urban elites. These included noble owners of parcels in towns, town nobility owning free land in towns without feudal obligations, and clergy of both rites, i.e. Roman Catholic and Uniate. In addition, the elite included private officials (plenipotents, foresters, justiciars, mandataries), and state officials (postmasters, circular officials).
