Infrastruktura to środki techniczne i instytucje niezbędne do zapewnienia należytego funkcjonowania działalności produkcyjnej i usługowej oraz kształtowania pożądanych warunków życia ludności. Analizowana w pracy infrastruktura techniczna i społeczna spełnia funkcje wskaźników rozwoju badanych województw (regionów), a zarazem stymulatora działań przedsiębiorczych. Zastosowane w badaniach metody pozwoliły na stwierdzenie: a) zróżnicowania poziomu infrastruktury w ujęciu wojewódzkim i między nimi, b) dodatniego wpływu poziomu infrastruktury na poziom produktu krajowego brutto i nominalne dochody na 1 mieszkańca, c) zależności rozwoju przedsiębiorczości od poziomu infrastruktury.

Infrastructure is defined as technical means and institutions necessary for the proper functioning of production and services and formation of desirable living conditions. Analyzed in the work technical and social infrastructure plays the function of the indicators in surveyed provinces (regions) and also is a stimulus of entrepreneurial activities. Methods used in research allowed for establishment of: a) differences in the level of infrastructure in terms of provinces and between them, b) the positive influence of the level of infrastructure on the level of gross domestic product and nominal income per one inhabitant, c) dependence of the level of business development on infrastructure.
