On December 12, 2018, an outstanding Polish archaeologist – Professor Tadeusz Malinowski died in Poznań. He left an enormous scientific legacy, particularly studies devoted to the funeral rite in the Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age (Lusatian and Pomeranian cultures). The article briefly discusses the major publications of the Professor, paying attention to the groups of issues they concern. His publications include a very wide range of works that are different in terms of form (reviews and polemics, monographs, catalogues, problem articles) and content (works from the Stone Age to the modern period, interdisciplinary and synthetic problems). A substantial part of the article is devoted to the connections of Professor Tadeusz Malinowski with the Rzeszów archaeological centre. It was him who provided the book collection (together with author’s prints), which became the basis of the Library of the Institute of Archaeology of the University of Rzeszów, created since 1999. Professor actively participated in scientific conferences organized in Rzeszów, he was interested in its scientific life, especially publications. He participated in the preparation of some of them as a reviewer. He highly evaluated the activities of the Institute of Archaeology, writing in 2016 that „it is one of the leading ones in our country”.
