A sociological reflection will pertain selected areas of women’s activity in Rzeszow. The article encompasses demographic structure, education and situation of women on a local labour market. An important issue comprises of women’s professional activity as well as their entrepreneurship. Data presenting unemployment rate highlight unfavourable situation of women on labour market. The article also presents participation of women in social life and in wielding authority.
