Most attention is paid to the speaker, the hearer, the relations between them, and the object of approval. It occurs that in informal situations there are almost no differences between the utterances under investigation, whereas in formal dialogues the choice of means of expression is usually based on the politeness rules, specific for a given culture.Pozycja Английские текстовые соответствия русских модальных слов наверно / наверное(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2017) Puk, MariaThis article is an attempt to analyse the Russian modal exponents наверно / наверноe expressing the speaker’s commitment to the truth of the proposition and its English translational equivalents. From the morphological point they are: adverbs, e.g.: presumably, probably, likely, verbs, e.g.: must, may or clauses, e.g.: I suppose, I dare say, I expect, he was convinced. The sentences with the skipped marker of epistemic modality constitute a great deal of examples in the target language. The analysis includes the three following methods: Callan, Wolf’s (the name derives from its initiator whose surname is Wilk in Polish) and Community Language Learning. The author shows the results and analyses the outcome of a survey conducted among 42 second-year students of Russian studies at the University of Rzeszow. In the inner form of considered terms pragmatic features of particular subjects and their components are marked, they are important for the experts in seamanship (external view, location, function of the subject). Secondary nomination reflects asymmetric essence of the linguistic sign on the basis of typical motivational features. Through the conditions similar to the language specific environment proposed methods can be applied successfully instead of the so-called intensive teaching.Pozycja Русские переводные соответствия польских обращений, выраженных терминами родства(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2017) Rudyk, AnnaThe article shows the Russian equivalents of the Polish forms of address expressed by the relationship words extracted from the contemporary Polish prose and its translation into Russian. Taking into account the gathered material it can be concluded that the relationship words usually have the form of the vocative case, which is replaced by the nominative case in Russian. The majority of the compiled examples constitute the diminutive forms, conveying speaker’s positive attitude towards the recipient of their utterance.Pozycja Синтаксические средства создания эмотивного смысла высказывания в русском и польском языках(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2017) Czapiga, ZofiaThe article presents linguistic means of expressing emotions on the syntactic level in Polish and Russian. State sentence models, exclamatory sentences, emphatic word order, parcellation, repetition of words and sentences as well as exclamations are described in the present paper. The syntactic means of expressing emotions usually coexist in a sentence. If an utterance expresses strong emotions, it accumulates reduplication of emotive lexicon, exclamations, particles, emphatic word order and sudden pause of a sentence. One can usually observe parcelling of an emotive word into a separate utterance.Pozycja Соматизм «глаза» в функции субъекта русских и польских сравнительных конструкций(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2017) Chudyk, DorotaThe article presents the contrastive analysis of comparison structures, which intensify the feature. The basis of the comparison is the adjective мягкий ‘soft’. The semantic and structural features of Russian and Polish comparison collocations of different types have been analyzed.
