The authors provide information about how those involved in the educational setting can support a child who stutters in school. The basic problems faced by school-age children who stutter and the most important issues related to treatment of this population are also presented. The issue of providing effective support will be discussed from different perspectives with the goal of creating a collective team made up of speech-language pathologists, teachers, parents, and the school staff and school community. Included in the article are strategies that each of these key players can implement to support the school-age child who stutters.
