Housing needs belong to a narrow range of needs that are universal, apply to all people, and remain valid throughout the life of each human being. Regardless of how great the scale of social differences is, "to have a roof over your head" is one of the most important issues for each household, and at the same time objectively necessary to meet the challenges of consumers. The apartment provides stability, security, and is one of the conditions for the independence of the individual, starting of the family, its development, the implementation of personal career plans, or often finding work in a place where it is available. In conclusion, we can say that housing problems are a major cause of the growing demographic crisis and housing development is an opportunity to stabilize the development trends in the economy, a chance for a significant reduction in unemployment, as well as an opportunity for the development of families and reducing the demographic crises This paper presents the essence of the housing problem and the analysis of the housing situation of the Rzeszow city in the years 2003–2013.
