Analiza wybranych przykładów ilustracji artystycznie wartościowej we współczesnej polskiej książce dziecięcej(Instytut Sztuk Pięknych Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019-12) Steliga, AnnaThe issue of illustrations in children’s books often comes up in all sorts of publications, at conferences and exhibitions. Therefore it is worth raising the topic of artistically valuable Polish illustrations, which are accessible to the child and have a positive effect on its development. Illustrations shape the aesthetic taste of the child. A properly made picture book makes an integral whole, where the text is inseparable from the image, creating unity. This gives the child an opportunity to have a fuller sense and deeper understanding of what the book is about. The article presents the works of such illustrators as: Ewa Kozyra-Pawlak, Anna Niemierko, Grażka Lange, Elżbieta Wasiuczyńska, Małgorzata Bieńkowska and Marta Ignerska, demonstrating the important role of illustrations in contemporary Polish children’s books.Pozycja Modele zastępcze(Instytut Sztuk Pięknych Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019-12) Woroniec jr, PiotrThe article presents a set of works which are a reflection upon and, to some extent, a summary of the author’s previous accomplishments from the period of his fascination with Constructivism, the austere anti-aesthetic variation of geometric abstraction. An important question here is spontaneity of the painter’s actions or “switching off” consciousness in the creative act, which may lead to surprising results. Correcting chance means lending it author’s qualities. Chance is an important form-creating value in art, particularly modernist art (action painting, Art Informel, Tachisme). At the stage of building the first layer, substitute models used the element of chance through the action-painting method. The spontaneous image corrected at the second stage sanctioned the randomness function of the previous layer of painting matter. Both layers in a permanent dispute formed the outer matter and could exist only as a bond between those actions. For the artist they are a picture of a changing painter’s experience, just like flowing reality changes before our eyes.Pozycja Moje najdroższe kobiety (o kobietach w życiu Adolfa Dygasińskiego na podstawie epistolografii)(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2015) Niekra, MagdalenaDygasiński’s image created on the basis of his writing seems to be quite schematic. The paper is an attempt to look at the writer from a different perspective. We focus on the relationships between the writer and women who were most important in his life, namely his mother, sisters, lover, wife and daughter. Dygasiński’s private epistolography, which serves as research material, allows us to present both the portraits of the above-mentioned women and the writer’s opinions on women’s issues. It turns out that experiences connected with women had a considerable influence on Dygasiński’s life and it is possible that they influenced on the way the writer created the heroines in his novels. However, this problem needs further examination.Pozycja Przemiany symboliczno-teologicznego znaczenia materii i ich odzwierciedlanie się w estetyce i sztuce chrześcijańskiej(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2020) Królikowski, JanuszAlmost from its very beginning, the faith of the Church incorporated art in its various forms of expression into the process of interpreting its doctrine. Quite quickly the Church included in this process the dogma of creation, i.e. the calling of the world into existence by God. At first, in polemic against ancient Manichaean tendencies, this dogma contributed to a positive view of matter, and thus to the possibility of using it in the realm of religion: since it comes from God, it cannot be an obstacle to worshipping him. Over time, the theme of creation itself was also incorporated into art, above all because it shaped Christian aesthetics, which always in some way reflected the essential elements of the Christian vision of the world and matter: radiance, proportion, harmony. Scholastic theologians in the Middle Ages drew attention to the fact that aesthetics, referring to the creative work of God, can play a supportive role in man’s return to God, thanks to the fact that it lifts his spirit towards the Creator. In the Middle Ages the motif of God the Creator, especially as the Creator of all things, also appeared in art. Under the influence of Enlightenment and positivist tendencies, matter lost its symbolic and theological bearing, becoming only a material made available to man, and thus the motif of creation disappeared from art. This means that there is a need to search for the possibility of including the truth about creation in art.
