Г. Масарика и Я. Паточки.Pozycja Modele edukacji osób starszych(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2017) Adamczyk, Monika DorotaOpracowanie prezentuje teoretyczne podstawy edukacji pozaformalnej i nieformalnej osób starszych. The study sample comprised 410 first and second year students of general upper secondary school from NW Slovenia. Results provide evidence that students’ concerns for the consequences of environmental damage formed three correlated factors organized around self and family, all people, and the biosphere. The highest was students’ environmental concern for the biosphere, followed by concern for self and family, and concern for all the people. Gender differences were significant in concerns for all people and for the biosphere; female students were more concerned than male students. Age differences were significant in concerns for the biosphere in favour of older students. Since humanity is facing challenges in balancing our demands and ecological limitations, the results of this study could be beneficial for further development of environmental education.Pozycja Selected factors influencing physical fitness in the elderly(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019) Wybraniec, Agnieszka; Boguszewski, Miłosz; Nizio, Norbert; Wyszyńska, Justyna; Drzał-Grabiec, JustynaIntroduction. In effect of the ageing process, there are involutional changes in older adults both in the mental and in the physical spheres. Some factors may slow down the ageing process. Physical activity is one of these factors. Physical ability is one of the most important indicators of quality of life of older adults, and it can be shaped by physical activity. Aim. The aim of the study was to assess chosen factors that influence physical ability of adults older than 65 years. Material and methods. The study involved 63 older adults. The criterion for inclusion in the study was the age - older than 65 years. There were 37 women and 26 men in the study population. All the subjects were able to walk without assistance, and they had no contraindications to do functional tests. We used a questionnaire of our own design, three SPPB trials, Up&Go test; we calculated the BMI indices and assessed depression scale. Results. We found that older adults rarely engage in physical activity. The low level of physical activity of the older adults was reflected in equally low physical ability level, as assessed by functional tests. We found a directly proportional dependence between body mass and the level of functional limitations and risk of falls. Conclusion. In our functional tests, we found a statistically significant correlation with regard to age and BMI index.Pozycja The importance of age in the Roman criminal process(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2023-12) Kosior, Wojciech J.In Roman law there were institutions whose application and, above all, their effects depended on the attainment of a numerically specified age by the subject of the law. Age limits presented in Roman law literature are usually associated with civil law – personal law, and more specifically to the scope of legal capacity, although, of course, a number of other powers exercised under other branches of law were also connected with this capacity. The purpose of this article is to present the results of the research conducted on the juridical sources of Roman law, which revealed texts relating to the problem of age on the grounds of the Roman criminal process. Research conducted on Roman law sources showed that three categories of age were important in the criminal process: 14 years, 20 years and 25 years.
