Górnośląskie nazwy obiektów gastronomicznych motywowane nazewnictwem regionalnym – między glokalizacją a komercjalizacją

Artykuł jest formą wprowadzenia w złożony problem tworzenia sztucznych zależności między lokalną kulturą a kulturą konsumpcji, która wyzyskuje w celach komercyjnych dziedzictwo kulturowe regionu. Poddane oglądowi chrematonimy, liczące 56 nominacji, wynotowano w latach 2018–2022 z miejskiej przestrzeni Górnego Śląska oraz ze stron internetowych. Nazwy te opisano z perspektywy pragmalingwistyki i lingwistyki kulturowej, uwzględniając regionalne i komercyjne determinanty ich kreacji. Na podstawie dokonanej analizy wysnuto wnioski na temat przenikania się dwóch przeciwstawnych tendencji nazwotwórczych – tradycyjnej i innowacyjnej, uwidaczniających się w górnośląskich nazwach komponowanych przy użyciu rozmaitych metod i technik. Zróżnicowany materiał onimiczny odsłonił wiele cech kultury konsumpcyjnej, które przejawiają się w strukturze i semantyce górnośląskich nazw obiektów gastronomicznych.
Językowe fascynacje Floriana Śmiei

The aim of the article is to disscus the linguistic fascinations of Florian Śmieja, writer, poet, publicist, profesor at English and Canadian universities who spent his childhood and youth in Silesia. The author of the article analyzes the words related to the Silesia region, selected form of the poems which are lexical markers of Florian Śmieja’s Silesian origin. He discusses their structure, etymology, lexical meaning and function in the analized texts. Presented observations lead to the conclusion that the linguistic fascinations of mother tongue are constantly present in his narrative and life. One can read from them the immense longing for the Silesian land and the Silesian as a regional dialect.
Zapożyczenia niemieckie w śląskim profesjolekcie górniczym przyswojone na gruncie gwarowym

The subject of research in this study are German borrowings, which constitute the largest (over 46%) share in the Upper Silesian mining sociolect. The German vocabulary on the basis of the Silesian dialect underwent a comprehensive assimilation to the Polish grammatical system, enriching the vocabulary of the studied sociolect. Attention is drawn to the characteristic acquisition to the Silesian phonetic and morphological system. The loans in the field of morphology are accompanied by various word-formation processes – interesting derivatives are derived from borrowings, as well as derivatives motivated by German basics, created using native (often characteristic dialect) formants. Among German loans, there are also inflections on Polish (dialectal) ground – German nouns adapt to native varieties of paradigms. The article also presents characteristic assemblies created on the basis of the Silesian dialect and interesting adaptations of German compositos, which have strongly grown into the dialect of Silesia as translations of German or assimilated as specific hybrids. Borrowings are often accompanied by semantic changes (narrowing, specialization of meanings or their shifting). The analysis of the material in this sketch proves that the Germanisms in the Silesian dialect paradoxically refer to its Polishness, which can be seen in the degree of their adaptation to the Polish (dialectic) pronunciation – the entire grammatical system.
