Pozycja Deadiektyw w pozycji drugiego argumentu we współczesnym języku rosyjskim i polskim(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019) Stasienko, AnnaDeadjectives are a class of abstract nouns derived from adjectives that denote properties or qualities and their primary meaning may be defined as “quality/state of being A”, where A stands for the base adjective. The present paper deals with the contrastive analysis of Russian and Polish deadjectives serving as objects. Analysed sentences on the semantic level are polipredicative. Pozycja Private Lessons as an Instrument for Middle Class Status Struggle in Post-socialist Societies: Poland and Ukraine Case Studies(Economics and Sociology, 2016-04-01) Długosz, PiotrThe aim of the article is to present the results of the research on taking private lessons among Polish and Ukrainian youth. The research was conducted in Polish-Ukrainian borderlands among upper secondary school graduates, with the use of survey method. 717 respondents were Polish, whereas 584 were Ukrainian. The results of research show that 62% of Polish students were taking private lessons, while in the Ukraine the number was 69%. Private lessons were taken especially by the students whose parents were educated, had higher positions at work and overall better economic background. The respondents taking private lessons had higher level of cultural capital measured by the number of books, better school achievements and high educational aspirations. The main purpose of taking private lessons was to increase the potential maturity exam results and to have further more chances of entering a prestigious university. The research reveals that the main adaptation strategy of the middle class confronting educational inflation and the risk of declassing is increasing educational expenditures. Eventually, such actions lead to further widening of education gap.Pozycja Voice Typology: A Case of Polish Adjectival Passive Participles Related to Object Experiencer Verbs in “Roz-“(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019) Malicka-Kleparska, AnnaPassive participles constitute an interesting body of data from the morpho-syntactic point of view as they combine adjectival and verbal properties, and consequently have to be endowed with rich morpho-syntactic structures. In this text we research the system of passive participles in Polish, clearly delimiting their verbal and adjectival properties. Then we concentrate on resultative states as a category with most puzzling mixed characteristics. Focusing on the resultatives derived from Object Experiencer Verbs, we argue for Intransitive Voice Projection in their structure. Some morpho-syntactic problems presented by these participles are solved when we consider a possibility that they code event kinds, rather than event tokens. Finally, the morpho-syntax of participles is juxtaposed with that of unaccusatives. The results support the kind of voice typology in which verbal structures may contain the intransitive voice projection, or lack voice altogether.Pozycja Лексические показатели положительных эмоций (на материале книги О.
