    Caring for a person with Alzheimer’s disease is not only exhausting physically and emotionally, but it can also cost a lot. This problem is becoming particularly important in the face of the ageing process of individuals, societies, and the systematically growing number of people with Alzheimer’s disease. Caring for a person with AD poses a high risk of decreased quality of life, it is especially true with regard to family caregivers who are emotionally related to the patient. The paper aims to present difficulties encountered by family caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s disease and directions of support.
