This competence is extremely important in the modern world because communication with representatives of other countries involves not only good knowledge of the language but also of the culture. It is worth mentioning that some of the equivalents convey assertive modality. It is based on the results of the analysis of both documents regulating language education in Poland and the selected German coursebooks Direct neu (level A1-B1). This analysis allows, among others, answering the question whether and to what extent the polite forms and the examples of a language etiquette are included in the abovementioned documents and the selected German coursebooks. The subject of the study of cognitive linguistics is the cognitive concept, and the subject of the study of linguistic culturology is a linguocultural or cultural concept. Cognitive linguistics and linguoculturology are characterized by a dyad „language is a person”, an integrative approach to the study of language, the terms “concept” and “picture of the world”. The concept is defined from two perspectives – as a linguistic-cognitive phenomenon (cognitive science concepts are used – concept sphere, information processing, general knowledge fundation, scheme, frame, script, gestalt) and as a linguoculturological phenomenon (using cultural linguistic concepts – cultural constants, cultural connotation).Pozycja Соматизм «лицо» в функции субъекта русских и польских сравнительных конструкций(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019) Chudyk, DorotaThe article deals with the contrastive analysis of comparative constructions in which human face functions as a subject. The following units remain in the scope of the Author’s interest: ненавидеть, ненависть, ненавидящий, ненавистный, ненавистно; nienawidzić, nienawiść, nienawistny, nienawistnie. In order to express strong enmity towards somebody or something the verbal model of a state sentence is usually used: Nienawidzę cię; Я тебя ненавижу (I hate you). The remaining examples name the negative emotional state of the subject indirectly.Pozycja Лексемы простір/przestrzeń и місце/miejsce в украинских и польских фразеологических единицах(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019) Яковенко, Людмила ИвановнаThis paper is the analysis of the phraseological units with temporal and spatial components and their place in the Ukrainian and Polish languages. The word 'space' is only the component of several phraseological units in the Ukrainian language. In the Polish language, there is only one such unit. In the phraseology of those languages the 'space' is tightly interwoven with the 'place' – in the reality, society and human emotions. It is expressed through several dozens of phraseological units with the word 'place'. The ability to classify the phraseologisms with the 'place' component to distinct semantic groups gives evidence to the fact that this component is enacting the typical semes as the element of the phraseological unit.Pozycja Rozwijanie kompetencji komputerowych i informacyjnych w glottodydaktyce na przykładzie podręczników do nauki języka angielskiego(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019) Malinowski, Piotr J.The aim of the article is to present an analysis regarding the assessment of the application of information and communication technology (ICT) in conventional ELT coursebooks. The theoretical basis for the use of ICT in language learning and the presentation of the new core curriculum (CC) is followed by the study describing the way in which ICT tools are either integrated or ignored in current English textbooks. The study covered books used in the seventh grade of primary school (in line with the new CC). Six of the eight textbooks available on the market were selected for this purpose. The qualitative approach applied to this research comprised a thorough description and original evaluation of references to ICT. Giving the podcasts examples we discussed the methods of using these materials. Нуровской Rosyjski kochanek по сравнению с русским текстом)(Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, 2019) Rudyk, AnnaAddressative forms are the linguistic exponents of interpersonal relations between members of a specific social group. The research material consists of replicas containing addressative forms, excerpted from M. Nurowska's book entitled: “Rosyjski kochanek”and from its Russian translation. An interesting issue in our opinion is the stylistic variation of the spoken expression used by the foreign-language characters, including such important elements as the phases used towards the addressee. Among the collected examples we can distinguish several groups, such as proper names, first name and patronym, as well as terms of kinship.
