- PozycjaQuality of life and readiness of Polish nurses to take new competences of drug prescribing(2018-07-06) Marć, Małgorzata; Bartosiewicz, Anna; Burzyńska, Joanna; Binkowska-Bury, Monika; Januszewicz, PawełIntroduction: Satisfaction with life in the case of nurses is closely related to their professional work and is an important factor affecting the quality of work and patient care. Aim of the study: An analysis of the readiness of Polish nurses depending on the level of life satisfaction. Material and method: The study was conducted from January to November 2016 in randomly selected 13 health care facilities among 756 nurses in the South-Eastern part of Poland. Were used the standardized questionnaire The Satisfaction with life scale (SWLS) and the Author's Questionnaire. Results: Nearly 75% of the nurses surveyed declared (reported) a low and average level of satisfaction. The level of satisfaction significantly influenced the readiness of nurses to administer medicines and write prescriptions. Nurses who had a higher level of life satisfaction were also more prepared to prescribe foodstuffs for particular nutritional uses (rho = 0.095, p = .0092), medical devices (rho = 0.117, p = .0012), potent drugs (rho = 0.138, p = .0001), intoxicants (rho = 0.078, p = .0311) and psychotropic drugs (rho = 0.085, p = .0196). Conclusions: Nurses who had a higher level of life satisfaction were also more prepared to administer medicines, especially foodstuffs for particular nutritional uses, medical devices, potent drugs, narcotic drugs, and psychotropic drugs.
- PozycjaREADINESS OF POLISH NURSES FOR LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF NEW MANDATES FOR PRESCRIBING(Plos One, 2018-08-15) Bartosiewicz, AnnaThe presented work is the first in Poland to elaborate on the subject of nurses' readiness to learn and develop in the context of new nursing rights regarding medicine ordination and writing prescriptions. The aim of this study was to analyze of the readiness of Polish nurses to learn and develop in relation to taking new powers regarding medicine ordination and writing prescriptions. The research was conducted among 756 nurses. The Author's Questionnaire and the GPUR-2012 standardized questionnaire were used. For all subscales of readiness for learning and development, average scores prevailed. Readiness to ordination of medicines / measures was significantly related to the level of readiness for changes taking place in the environment (A1 scale), feeling the effectiveness of educational and career goals (C5 scale) and the feeling of community of educational and vocational goals (scale D2) and increasing the readiness of nurses to practice all of the aforementioned drugs / agents, in particular medical devices. The readiness of nurses to learn and develop at all levels of subscales was on an average level. Younger nurses, with a shorter seniority, having higher education and additional qualifications had higher readiness to prescribe medications and write prescriptions. Higher readiness for learning and development is matched by greater readiness to prescribe.
- PozycjaSocjodemograficzne i psychospołeczne uwarunkowania gotowości pielęgniarek do ordynowania leków i wypisywania recept(Uniwersytet Rzeszowski, 2017-10-10) Bartosiewicz, AnnaWstęp: Prezentowana praca podejmuje temat gotowości pielęgniarek do uczenia się i rozwoju w kontekście nowych uprawnień pielęgniarskich dotyczących ordynowania leków i wypisywania recept. Cel pracy: Analiza zróżnicowania gotowości pielęgniarek do ordynowania leków i wypisywania recept w zależności od wybranych czynników socjodemograficznych i psychospołecznych. Materiał i metody: Badania przeprowadzono wśród 414 pielęgniarek POZ i 342 pielęgniarek AOS województwa podkarpackiego. Wykorzystano: Kwestionariusz autorstwa własnego, GPUR, LBQ oraz SWLS.Wyniki: Badania własne wykazały, że spośród czynników socjodemograficznych to wiek, poziom wykształcenia i posiadanie dodatkowych uprawnień istotnie wpływały na gotowość pielęgniarek do ordynowania leków. Gotowości do uczenia się i rozwoju kształtowała się na poziomie przeciętnym i dotyczyła najczęściej doskonalenia zawodowego w miejscu pracy. Wśród badanych pielęgniarek przeważały osoby o stwierdzonym przeciętnym i niskim poziomie satysfakcji z życia i stanowiły one łącznie blisko 75% badanej grupy. Wyższy poziom wypalenia zawodowego grupy odpowiadał mniejszej gotowość do ordynowania tych leków. Wnioski: Wśród czynników wpływających na dysponowanie gotowością do ordynowania leków istotnymi okazały się posiadanie kursu w dziedzinie pielęgniarstwa, satysfakcja z życia oraz wybrane skale gotowości do uczenia się i rozwoju.
